Low impact rate sniper rifles. Much Confused.
What's the prob with low impact snipers? Doesn't one head shot kill you anyways no matter the impact? Doesn't two body shots kill you anyways no matter the impact?

If you can't rez snipe and it doesn't have 1000% aim assist it won't be used. Only reason they used the old iron banner sniper was for final round one shot body shots in trials.

They can't super snipe in 6s and they can't res snipe in 3s.

With my Tao hua yuan, I can take one body shot, and then have to unload two hawksaw bursts to the head With my black spindle, I can get one body shot, and then one burst to the body from my hawksaw will kill. See the difference.

It's about being able to one-hit-kill guardians out of their supers, and being able to rez-snipe. Low impact snipers can't do either of the two.

They always one shot to the head. Lowest impact snipers might not kill with two bodyshots. There are snipers that do 100 and little less with a bodyshot so ofcourse with enough armor, you can survive two bodyshots.

people prefer the higher impact guns in pvp because they can 1-shot people off the res in trials

39 RepliesIt's because those kinds of snipers actually take skill in everything (cough 1k stare cough). It takes skill because the low impact means you can't one shot supers or revive snipe (cough 1k stare cough) and it means you need to aim for the head no matter what (cough 1k stare aims for you cough).

I like my spindle, even in PvP. It feels kinda clunky, but it hits hard AF. If I drop down the impact I usually go for my Defiance of Yasmin. I got the vendor Weylorans...but I am not too impressed with it.

Because it's fun to get a one shot kill on hammerbros/Emperor Palpatines/bladedancers at full health. High impacts just break 200 on those so I imagine low impacts wouldn't one hit.

High impact snipers can shut down supers and kill when someone has a Rez shield. Low impact snipers can't do any of the above and also burn through ammo.

High impacts can Rez snipe, kill hammer Titans, are better for all aspects of pve, and just better imho

Nothing with them at all. Ppl use high impact for trials and then can't let go in non revive crucible....

The problem is that scrub ass tryhards can't res snipe with them.

The IB sniper does not kill higher armor Titans/warlocks in 2 body shots.
