I can't play Destiny the Taken King anymore - I keep receiving an online permission or profile sign in error with no error code
I love playing this game, but about two weeks ago the game stopped working. I'm able to select my character and attempt to log in. When I try to log in I keep getting the following error:
"Your permissions to access online multiplayer may have changed or your profile may have been signed in elsewhere"
I've tried looking around to see what I can do. I found this:

...which describes exactly what my problem is. I tried (as suggested here https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12183) to restore my licenses for giggles even though I don't have a PlayStation Plus account...yet. I have a PlayStation Plus trial that came with Destiny The Taken King Legendary Edition, but I haven't started using it yet. I wanted to wait until I exhausted all the single player options before using the multiplayer-cooperative or player vs player options offered by the game.
I tried posting a few days ago, but I haven't gotten a response. I'm not feeling the love... Can anyone please, please, please help me?

1 ReplyTry this: Clear your game cache first, then log out of Destiny and close the game - then shut off the PS console and unplug power from the console for at least 10 minutes. This allows cached connection data to clear. The game (or game service) thinks you are logged in twice for some reason. Unless you have your account also on a different console and someone is logged in on it, then its likely a hiccup in the cached information.
