Only good crucible (legendary) handcannon I can think of is the Eyasluna. But the drop rate is so low, and it has to have the right perks... Mine isn't bad.... But I'd much rather have luck in the chamber...
You said yourself that hawkmoon is good... Fun fact: eyas means hawk, Luna means moon lol its a baby hawkmoon.

I've been hoping for that and Red Spectre to drop but no luck. I've gotten every strike related drop multiple times and seen other get them plenty of times too, but I've only seen Eyasluna drop once (for awhile I thought it was a PS4 exclusive drop) and never saw Red Spectre drop. I mostly want the Spectre because it looks awesome.

I've had the Loop drop twice but one had terrible perks. The other should be equipped on my Hunter right now. In PvE it handles like Handcannons did before they were nerfed. The perks address the things that were nerfed: Triple Tap helps with ammo (wow they need to buff reserve ammo). Rifles Barrel helps with the range, it actually has more range than Fatebringer. And Hidden Hand helps with accuracy, which also helps with hitting longer range shots. It reloads like a turd though.
