It's still, in my opinion, the only overpowered ability in this game. If it worked like it was supposed to and took 3 or 4 seconds of sprinting it would be better, but I've seen people Shoulder Charge from a dead standstill. It shouldn't be a one hit kill either, should do normal melee damage. It's enough of an advantage to be able to Shoulder Charge in the first place. BTW I have a Titan so I'm not just hating the class, because I know how this community gets sometimes.
Sniper Rifles are operating completely outside of their role. Quick scoping shouldn't be a thing, period. And hip firing should have about a 10% chance of landing a shot. Sniper rifles are supposed to be an overwatch weapon, one that requires you to get into a position, and have a steady shooting platform so you can pick off enemies. Not something you run down a hallway with, ffs. Also, movement should SEVERELY impact your ability to land shots. Strafing with a sniper equipped should move your reticle all over the place, because that's what would happen if you actually tried to do that.
The Last Word is just the most ludicrous weapon idea anyway. How that actually got implemented is beyond me. Rewarding people for just holding the trigger is crazy. That weapon should not exist in the first place, but since it does it needs some SERIOUS reworking
Edit: Despite the overwhelming amount of seething hate I've gotten over this (along with people making up stats...?)
There's been a whopping 1 suggestion from the handful of people that have tried to come at this logically and reasonably.
Shoulder Charge should use a melee charge. That puts it back on par with Flame shield and blink strike. Those require your melee to be charged to use, and that sounds completely fair.

4 RepliesAll you hunters shutup with your bloody nerfs!!!!!!!!!!! The thing is heres a few things hunters forget they have a lower armor then any other class but increased agility and they never take that into account when asking for a nerf for example warlock firebolt grenades recently made a nerf by a hunter because it does "to much damage". Another example of hunters calling for a nerf is saying titan shoulder charge shouldnt kill you one shot and AGAIN not thinking or taking into account u got less armor then any other class. When asking for nerf you should consider the fact u got less armor and more agility thats what you signed up for when you created that character period!!!!!!!!!!!

Drop the Ram armor and overshield melee and I will stop charging over your sad crylock corpse

I feel like you're the annoying high pitched kids people make fun of in CoD but was mad he couldn't get a kill

1 ReplyYou say you have a Titan, so you're not "one of those guys", but if you really think I Titan can shoulder charge from a dead stand still...you should really try to use it, because that doesn't happen. If you get charged it's probably while you were shooting at another enemy and they ran up on you. But if it wasn't shoulder charge, it would've been another player with some other weapon that got you. I know, it stings a little to get shoulder charged...but it's not that easy to do and walk away from.

The reason you aren't getting any helpful feedback on shoulder charge, is because it's the last thing in the game that can possibly be considered OP. Especially on a terrible Titan class as it is. I'm sorry, but you are 100% wrong and need more experience with the game.

4 RepliesLet my guess, hunter. Sigh........ Have you ever tried to shoulder charge with a Titan? If you get killed by a striker it's because they are skilled.
-
9 RepliesHad a 303 Titan use shoulder charge on my in IB today after I shot him with my fusion rifle. He met a melee and died. I bet he raged. I love level advantages. No easy, cheap, unskilled kills without the right light ;) Is it op though? Easy, cheap, unskilled. In my opinion, yes. As for TLW and snipers, adapt and counter. I dropped plenty of people that had them both equipped at the same time. Its player error sir. Don't blame the weapons (TLW is op when used properly. Any other time it's just a fast firing hand cannon that most people using it can't aim for shit).

8 RepliesOP mains a Hunter. Why am I not surprised?

Shoulder Charge has an increasing time delay until you can use the next Shoulder Charge. If you see people shoulder charging from a stand still that is purely lag on either part. Either your client or theirs is not registering their movement correctly on the visual before syncing back up. As for the increased delay I mentioned, if I were to sprint and charge now, it takes longer for me to access my second charge. Once I used the second one, it takes even longer before the third, and keeps increasing as I keep using it. The delay only resets on death.

1 ReplyI would agree if melee hit detection worked better, but it does not. Maybe 30% of my Shoulder Charges are hitting opponents, and bouncing off without damaging them. I have had good connection, and the opponent has had good connection, and this will still occasionally occur. Now on the other hand, I have had my Shoulder Charge hit opponents in mid air/Blink that have seemed waaaay out of range. This happens maybe 15% of the time. As to TLW...

No, just no. Punching someone so hard that you break the sound barrier should do the same damage that a jab to the face does? Absolutely not man. And snipers and the last word are fine where they are.
-
Shoulder charge idea is good. Now let's talk flame shield. Shield on kill, not for -blam!-ing punching someone once. Honestly -blam!-ing stupid. He wacked me once gets a shield and I burn? Just stupid you can't defend it especially with the range it has
-
How are you going to stop people from quickscoping lol. If your talking about people quick scoping to remove someones shields and then have someone else finish them off that is a different thing.

12 RepliesHey dude, watch this!! http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/WoofinAintEazy/video/14880725 - <3 all Shoulder Charging Titans
-
1 ReplyYou lost all respect because you know nothing about shoulder charge. For example if you are at a stand still and titan skate once (jump 3 times) shoulder charge activates just before you land. It SHOULD 1 shot kill. You gotta think people are giving up juggernaut and unstoppable.
-
Bahahahaha too bad
-
14 RepliesYou have a whopping total of just under 250 kills as a Titan. You also have only just unlocked shoulder charge. Maybe try using a class before you judge it.
-
1 ReplyI have a solution to all your problems: GET THE -blam!- OVER IT YOU WHINY BITCH!
-
1 ReplyGo ruin a different -blam!-ing game

1 ReplyI disagree with the shoulder charge changes, but tlw and snipers do need to be addressed. Don't worry i won't be a dick like the people in this comment section. This community is just toxic. Terrible community, worst than CoD.
-
Your an idiot , shoulder charge hardly works the way it should. Hit detection is off , also if your stupid enough to stand there and get shoulder bashed which it sounds like you are than you deserve it.
-
2 RepliesWait flame shield should require a kill to bring it on par with force barrier.
-
Lol hand cannons are hard to balance properly because changes also affect TLW (basically a full auto sidearm with extra range and hip fire damage, not a hand cannon) gets buffed as well, and no nerfs ever seem to fix it. Into opinion it never should have been made year 2
-
1 ReplyHow is it an advantage? Ohh shit, titans actually have a melee that can reach enemies further than a hunters penis? Let's nerf that shit. Having a Titan doesn't mean anything, go into the crucible and use only shoulder charge and enjoy getting killed mid animation, hits not connecting and having to deadlock an ability so you actually have a viable melee. The Titan standing still thing sounds like a lag problem.
-
Have you ever used tlw? It's really lot as easy as it seem s and as long as you don't get close the thing can't even hit you. It's super fun to use but it definitely has limits
