Hey guys I just got a Japanese imported ps4 and I live in the US. I know I can play American games and stuff fine. My question is can I buy the dlc for the American games and have it work on my account?
Ex: if I buy call of duty from Gamestop come home and decide to buy the dlc. I buy the dlc on my American account, will this work? Can I still play the dlc on this console/account? Thanks in advance any help is appreciated.

1 ReplyNope. You can only play it in Japan. If you try othetwise it summons a 200ft lizard yo step on your house

Not sure if regional locks still apply to DLC, but you might want to try asking MS.

You'll need to switch to an account that matches the region of the game to download DLC (Japanese game DLC can only be downloaded from the Japanese PSstore). Once downloaded, it can be played on any account on the system. Note that to get patches and such you will also need to log into an account in the same region as the game (both disc and digital download). I live in Taiwan (Region 3) but also have a US account (Region 1). Things I buy on one one account can be played on the other.

4 RepliesI don't think so. Since the store is set up differently through regions. Maybe you can set up a VPN or something. I'm not really sure but probably this can help shed light
