Best Gears of War campaign?
Played the first 2 and starting on the third. Second was fantastic and the first was forgettable. Started the 3rd one and loving it. Which is considered to be the best one?

1 ReplyCan't wait to see what happens in gears4 My favorite was 3. Even tho the achievements were ridiculously time consuming. I never completed Seriously 3.0. In fact, I never completed all the achievements for any of the gears games except for judgement :) Loved Horde mode.. [spoiler]"time to fortify our positions"[/spoiler]

Jeez this has me stumped. I think 2 and 3 are tied for me. They were both excellent.

2 RepliesI loved Gears of War's original campaign. Gears of War always was dark and gritty and I felt Gears 3 went in another direction. Either Gears 1 or 2, but I'm leaning towards the original because I think General RAAM made the ending more satisfying.

1st was damn good, 2nd was my favorite and the most anticipate of the series, while Gears 3 was a great ending to the trilogy. Judgement, what's that? Jk, PoS excuse for a Gears game.

Gears was huge when it first released, some of the best graphics and gore on 360 at that time. There weren't many cover based shooters and the online was intense. It's only forgettable to you because you played it 10 years later. It made a huge impact on the xbox and plenty of players feel in love with the series because of it. I did the same thing with uncharted. Played it waaaay later, and let's just say the game did not age well at all. Had I played it at the time it was released i would probably have a different opinion of it.
