Is Doctrine Of Passing Overpowered?

Serious question, I wanna know what everyone thinks. This gun became a lot more popular in the crucible as it just dropped from trials this weekend. In my opinion the other auto rifle archetypes need a buff.

    • It's not really THAT op. I was destroying players with zhalo and dead orbit AR lol. But there's a decent list of good guns that ppl use, like mida, TLW, hawkshaw and so on. The only reason ppl think that a weapon is op is because there's alot of ppl using those specific weapons. I mean every match I'm in its either TLW with 1K, DoP with 1K, TLW with 1K. Some ppl might do alot better using these weapons then others. I do fine with hawkmoon, imago loop and dead orbit AR lol.

      • No it became popular because a couple of twitch streamers said it was good, now all the kids use it! I started using it when I finally got an adept one with counter balance, before that I always used Suros

      • i dont think its overpowerd at all. if you hear it firing just head a different direction and get shots in from elsewhere. sure, if you run in a straight line with a shotty towards someone using it, yes its gonna rip yo u apart. thats why people think its overpowered i guess.

        A bit off topic but.... Nothing needs a nerf other things need a damn buff, like people are complaining about snipers just because bingo won't buff fusions, sidearms, and shotguns. Snipers seriously haven't changed and as for thorn it is fine just reduce mag size to 6 bam problem solved and no the DoP is not OP its just the other autos need a buff

      • Base stability needs a nerf and the stability perks need to be removed otherwise its gonna be crossmapping

        Not op. But compared to other primary weps the mag is Huge. Other autos are not that big and they nerfed field scout. It's an advantage.

        • I wouldn't say it's op I would say auto rifles need a buff to compete with it and actually most primaries need a buff to compete with the "op primaries" I think this is a big reason we see a lot of people complain about snipers because right now only a handful of primaries can actually counter a sniper and not let someone get off 2 or 3 shots off with a 1000 yard stare

        • I mean, it's not op. It does well in certain situations for sure. Close range specifically. However there's other guns that perform well in those conditions.

        • I don't think it OP. I have low range on AR but when I hit a enemy player in mid range. Stats of low range should have lower damage when you hit enemy player on mid range but damage remain same.

          The range drop off has to be tweaked. The range says its low and it's true, the bullets clearly have damage drop off. Here's the thing tho, it's the fastest shooting archetype of auto rifle in the game so if shooting a whole bunch of 15's versus a bunch of 12's won't make a difference since you're shooting so fast. Also the way it makes you flinch needs to be changed.
