Oryx spawns at the back. Prove me wrong.

Edit 4: Vault of Glass. Oracles. The third oracle on the left, or L3, also known as back left. The Templar also spawns there. This area is the same orientation as the Oryx room. Guardians spawn on one side, Templar spawns on the opposite. Yet the Templar is commonly considered to be at the back as well as those two "hidden" oracles. Golgoroth. The first orb that everybody uses is the first one on the left (L1) compared to where you enter. Front left. The thrall and acolytes spawn at the back. Same orientation as the Oryx room. Now all the sudden you get to Oryx and this logic is gone. Just pretend those pads are Golgoroth's orbs. The first one on the left would be front left. But why is the first pad (also known as L1) on the left widely considered the back? And the second one on the left (L2) is now the front? You guys aren't thinking clearly. Original post: You walk in the room, you are at the front of the room. You move to the opposite end, you are now at the back. I dgaf where Oryx spawns. I am not Oryx. Plus Oryx moves around the room so you can't always call him the front. Its also not the front of the Dreadnaught as you can look out the BACK and see the dreadnaught keeps running out for miles. Prove me wrong. Edit: When you play pvp, the enemy team spawns on the other end. Is that end the front or back? It's the back. Edit 2: "In front of you" and "the front of a room" are two entirely different definitions. The front of the room is always a set area that is always there no matter where you're looking at. It has to do with the architecture (Oryx is not part of the architecture he is a living thing in the game world). Whereas what's in front of you is different depending on which direction you're facing. On a baseball diamond, the back is always on the opposite end as the bat catcher even though its always in front of him. If he were to look behind him or even to the side, the back of the diamond is no longer in front of him, but its still the back of the diamond. Edit 3: Why is everyone comparing Oryx's room to a classroom or a theatre? It is not either of those. I'm not going in there to learn anything and I'm not going in there to watch a movie. You don't even need to look at Oryx, he is not the focal point. The majority of the time you actually do have to look at him is when hes at the side. Plus he moves all around the room. Last time I checked the screen at the movies didn't move around, and Oryx wasnt a screen that displayed movies for people. If you played the raid from the get-go and had no idea where Oryx spawned, you wouldn't be calling that side the front. You'd be calling the side where you come in the front. And true story: people called entrance side the front before people started calling it the back. You guys only twisted it with flawed logic. Front and back of rooms are based on the architecture (like a movie screen or a chalkboard). No piece of interior architecture in Oryx's room indicates saturn side being the front. The back of a room can still be "in front" of you but that doesn't mean its the front. Secondly, you can't be looking at the overall ship. We are inside the ship and the ship has rooms. Oryx's room may be the bow but we are still inside. It is a room, there is a ceiling, one wall, and support columns. Rooms have defined fronts and backs. Usually the main entrance is the front, in this case, the only entrance is the front.

  • You could be complaining about anything in the world that matters, anything that people would actually care about and maybe even make changes to, and you complain about whether Oryx spawns in the front or back.

    • Walks in room. Oryx spawns in FRONT of me. Stands in middle. Door is in the BACK. With two pillars BEHIND me. I'll stick with the best everyone normally does it. Seems easier as we are all running around and not standing on a ledge with a sniper.

    • So what who care's he spawn's infront of you & your firteam so if he slams the left plate infront of where he spawns that's front left & it still doesnt matter because you can see where he slams so -blam!- off with your left & right & front & back he slams on plate 1 plate 2 is the next one around counter clockwise & so on,aslong as you can count to 4 you shouldnt have a issue. Why do people have such a problem with orxy? You have to kill 1 enemy before shade,I think most folk do the 16 orb now so apart from shade you have 1 knight to kill & have to make it back to the aura, its not hatd if you killed your knight & you should have if youre in hard you should be able to headshot knights the -blam!-ers have big enough heads but ok you take a few hits from the eye's or the centurian ball slaps you a new one but the runner gets relic & you can get off the plate but your energy is red bar so why dont you drop off the back of the plate where the knight spawns take a few seconds to let your shield respawn & the run to middle & if youre on plate 3 you can be really cool & kill the last knight that spawns next to you like our guy does. The way some people struggle with orxy is beyond me & Ive finally found a team that can do it in under 30 mins thankfully. ORXY SPAWNS AT THE FRONT

      • Whenever ive been on a ship/boat ive got on the vessel at the stern or back of the vessel. If we use the same logic we spawn at the dreadnaught at the back trying to move forward. The raid starts slightly forward from our spawn point. We progress through the raid moving towards the front of the ship. So in this case seeing as we start at the back moving forward oryx would spawn at the front of the ship. IMO obviously

        • Again, its a throne room. So whenever the "subjects" face their King IS the front. So where oryx spawns that's the front. Your BACK is to the entrance, facing what? The front of the throne room. What is even more amusing, is that you are using the same logic you ask others not to use. In vog, the call outs where made based on where the players where standing. So the closer to you is front, and the further back as you say is back. So the exact thing you debate, is the exact thing you use as evidence. Google "front of a throne room" And you will see it is not the entrance. The king stands at the head of the people, the front if you will. Not the back. Some people's kids haha
