I have no official proof and its just a hunch.
But ever since ttk launched i grinded 5 strikes a day just to get that debt unpaid shader.
And only yesterday it finally dropped!
What i can recall is that in the strike i got it from, i created a lot of orbs (around 40 orbs of light).
I also have burnt marshmellow as a shader, got it from alak hul, and me and my team killed him in 2 minutes with our swords.
I was thinking, and this is just a theory or speculation. Maybe if you perform a certain feat in a strike? It will unlock shaders?

I was with a friend that had both the shaders you mentioned drop in the same day from the Shield Brothers strike. We didn't do anything special other that beat them extremely fast like you did with Alak Hul. So maybe you're right. Most of the time when I'm doing strikes I am alone and it's difficult to take down the boss like that, so I'll try going at it with a full fireteam. Maybe you're on to something.
