Every time our sprint doesn't activate we have to click in the thumb stick and hold it forward several times until it works or wait a few seconds until it does which slows down the fast paced gameplay and causes frustration. I haven't found another recent game that has this issue. The sprint activation in other next gen games is very smooth and works every time. The low sensitivity is causing us to have to push the left thumb stick forward aggressively, especially in more difficult encounters which causes undesired wear on the controller. This problem is partially Microsoft's fault for the poorly designed joystick but mostly your fault considering the right joy stick, which is used for aiming doesn't have this issue. I've seen complaints about the sprint lock many times here but there has never been a solution. let us get to the action with less frustration and less thumbstick crushing so we can spend more time enjoying the excellent gun play you've created.
When the small ring underneath the joystick head wears out, the joystick can and will get stuck under the lip of the faceplate surrounding the joystick.
A solution could be to add an additional setting for movement sensitivity. It wouldn't cause us to move faster but it would make us move with less effort.
Here is photo evidence of the issue and it's highly likely that the sprint activation sensitivity is the issue causing this to happen

My lunar white controller was purchased a couple months ago. It has worn down very quickly.
I do understand the thumb stick design is poor and I'm not here to debate fanboy arguments. Both systems are great.
I highly doubt you will pay attention to this but it's worth a try. Keep this bumped and liked to save your joystick.
