There is nothing exotic about this weapon. Why would I want to use a weapon that losses damage while it increases fire rate? If I wanted to use a low damage/high RoF auto rifle, I would. Make the FS a true Exotic: maintain damage across the RoF range.

YES. EXACTLY.

Exactly, suros doesn't lose damage when spinning up activates. How does this make sense?

7 RepliesI've been using the Fabian strategy in the crucible and actually find it to be quite good. The highest rate of fire archetype of auto have a faster TTK than the archetype that Fabian falls in, so the bonus it provides is actually really good (in the crucible, plus it's barrel upgrades buff the impact, which helps more than people think.) It allows you to maintain a slower rate of fire at longer distance (easier to land shots) while melting someone who tries to rush you with a shotgun. If anything, it just needs a stability buff.

Edited by After Doomsday2: 2/20/2016 2:29:30 AMthe shield should reduce damage when using ADS by 10-20% when surrounded impact shouldn't drop at all in fact the damage should increase the closer to the target you get and give it a larger magazine size of 60-75 rounds.
-
Yeah, I bet they did that because Pvp.
-
not going to lie, I don't even consider it an exotic, hell none of the yr2 exotics are.Well zhalo is still the shit to me.
-
The high ROF archetype has a 0.8 sec TTK on head shots. It is faster than the medium ROF archetype. The problem is that it's not as good as Doctrine of Passing with counterbalance.

This thread has legs

Buff the ace of spades exotic perk while you're at it. Maverick is just a worse version of outlaw.
-
I think it just needs a mag size buff.
-
Lol if it maintained its impact with the increase of rof, it be the most op gun in history... When it's at max rof, it has a slightly higher ttk than doctrine due to linear compensator, then when you add in crowd control it gets a bit ridiculous

5 RepliesEdited by BachelorOne: 2/19/2016 1:04:46 PMI used to think as you do, but fact of the matter is, high ROF ARs are KING, right now. Here are some tips to trigger front lines: 1.) No Backup Plans and shotty is amazing, and will let you close the distance while having overshield. 2.) Try out Juggernaut. Now that you can jump with it, it's pretty usable. 3.) Max armor out on Striker or Defender, and this weapon would be deadly with Weapons or Blessing of Light. Better with Blessing. 4.) Don't use with Sunbreaker. I had been saying it for months..all SB had was its super. With that gone, it's awful, with the exception of Incendiary Grenade. Thermite is worth laughing at.

6 RepliesIt's so funny. They reduced the damage when it turns max ROF. So it's just a decent legendary. Every nerf in the game comes from PVP fear. Every weapon that doesn't exist is from pvp fear. This game is terrified of upsetting pvp. So we pve guys are packing up and leaving.

8 RepliesThey need to buff the slower RoF ARs across the board.

2 RepliesWelcome my friend, To the pit where Fusion rifles and Dregs promise lie, Never to be seen or heard again

5 RepliesIt automatically switches archetype to fit it's combat roll better. Has Life Support and Crowd Control. As well as a hidden perk of Clown Cartridge that can add I think 4 bullets which can make the difference.

4 RepliesWhy da -blam!- would u use that weapon when people use shotguns or tlw right in front of u? There is really nothing exotic about this weapon
-
4 RepliesKeep its impact and always have the bullethose

I agree, both other weapons are nearly perfect. Warlocks Tlalock is great. Hunters Ace of Spades is good too. Sadly fabian is broken like hell. Needs to fix ASAP
-
1 ReplyYou are so right about it not losing damage, i dont think it would be overpowered since the enemies would have to be close to you. It would also let it stand a chance against last words in those close range encounters. I mean auto rifles are supposed to dominate close range anyways right?

well this goes back to why they nerf Titans so they could have shitty subclass with shitty weapon thanx bungie your the greatest

3 RepliesI agree that the perk should function as a flat increase in RoF while active, while keeping the damage the same. However that said, the Fabian Strategy is a decent gun as it is currently. It actually already has a slight damage boost while the front lines perk is active: the high RoF/low impact archetype sports the fastest time to kill of any AR anyway. -The lowest damage per bullet, but the highest damage per second. You just have to be in very close range to see any of it. Since the front lines perk only activates while in that optimum range for that archetype anyway, it cuts people apart very quickly. It has a wider ideal range than any other weapon in the game and does great damage at both close and close-mid ranges. It still is not quite what the perk description leads me to believe it should do, but its not at all a bad gun.

10 RepliesTlaloc is pretty useless too. I had it, used it for a few matches, and concluded that it was not worth it. I have legendary scouts that are way better.
-
17 RepliesTitans get a shitty exotic and a shitty shotgun what a surprise. While warlocks get one of the best exotics in the game and hunters have the only other sniper that can rez snipe. Thnx bungie.

3 RepliesI little bit more impact wouldn't hurt
