Im still struggling to get past the fact you gave away 320 ghost shells to everyone that completed 7 matches "legitimately" . You know how hard I (as well as most) grinned the raids for that damn thing and most the time come up with a stupid 319 or 300 for that matter?? Still while grinding i got 2 320 shells after 30 HM raids. So someone cried about their not being many drops of the shell and you give the shit away. Why not just increase the drop rate or something, or does your code not allow for that and this was the only work around to make the crier happy?

I've completed the raid over 50 times and have a 318 ghost as my best. I've also played iron banner and got nothing. I'm happy to get the 320 Crimson shell. But I agree that the raid drops suck. Count yourself lucky you have two. Out of my regular raid group who completed with me every week since day one of the raid only one of us got a 320 and only once. Rng sucks.

It was a week long event and the issue was identified and addressed on the 12th, a Friday, so Bungie had no way of applying any fix in time, hence they did the nice thing and offered one 320 ghost shell per account if you played CD. It wasn't because people "cried" that they kindly gave those who competed a ghost shell. It was because they couldn't fix the problem in time, and there obviously was a problem with the drop rates. If it had been a two week event or something permanent, they would have had time to apply a fix.

Crimson Doubles event. They expected everyone to get the ghost shells but turns out the drop rate was too low, then they made it so if you played at least seven legit matches (no suicide pacts to make it end faster) you'll have the ghost mailed to you.

I've got a guy in our raid group who hasn't seen a single 320 shell, I've only ever gotten one from iron banner and one guy who has gotten three. We raid three times every week. How does you getting lucky make this unfair?

We did not award Ghost shells because people cried. We made that choice because we identified a bug that we could not fix before the end of the event.

So what about the bug in the raid? Surely the drop rate for a 320 shell is way to low. Search your feelings you know this to be true ;)

Any way you can make sure i get the crimson shell? I was lucky enough to get 1 doo doo shell at 312 so i dont need or want that one. That was the only ghost that dropped for me the whole event. Thanks for admitting it was a problem on your end and hooking us up. Much appreciated from a casual like myself. Also, when is srl coming back?

It isn't a glitch at all..you run hard and can get drops from normal as well.

This. You get normal and hard mode drops if you run hard first. That was made very clear back when hard mode arrived.

I'm an avid (addicted) player and grind everything for loot, especially when that loot is unique like the Crimson Doubles ghost shells are. I already have 2 320 ghost shells, one from the raid and one from Iron Banner. I played Crimson Doubles across 3 characters completing all the bounties plus even more hours of running with friends just hoping for a single ghost shell drop. I didn't get any. I would have been thrilled with a drop at any light level but not a single one dropped in probably 10-12 hours of play in that event. So... while I have no sympathy for those who don't grind for gear, not having all the gear that I or you do, I also feel Bungie screwed up again on drop rates like they did in the first year 2 Iron Banner and many other activities, but this time, they are doing the right thing. For me it's not about who's 320 and who isn't. It's pretty clear a level 300 guardian with Ice Breaker still OHK's a level 320 guardian in ToO. So everyone that played 7 CD matches getting a 320 ghost shell is no big deal to me.
