What do you Artists at Bungie Use? I'd really be interested to know what software Craig Mullins uses for his artwork also. I'm an Oil painter and I'd like to get myself a digitizing tablet, and some good software.
If anyone knows what software he uses, or is a cg artist themselves, please let me know.
Otherwise, If you artists at Bungie have the time, I'm REALLY interested, and would like to start myself. As said Before I already work with the traditional tools, but I'm looking to get into the Modern art Fulfilment.
Thanks everybody.

It's the seal of approval on a gen-yew-ine A.P.N.® post guaranteeing the same fresh, spicy, saucy flavour in every byte. They are a bit greedy.[/quote] Exactly, and other than that, the thing that ticks me of the most is the damn "membership programs" The only way to get all tutorials to learn how to use their program is to pay $1222 dollars for "platinum" membership, Garrrr! [breaths deep] Ahh, im ok now. ::)

Photoshop, 3d Studio (for modeling), and Maya (for animation). I sometimes use ImageReady for animated gifs and slicing images. There are multple sized tablets floating around. The one I have is a Intuos 2. Eddie and Lorraine use them to paint in photoshop (and I really want to learn how! I'm so jealous).

Thanks Guys. Do you guys use a digitizing tablet or mouse? I wanna get a 12 x 14 or so.

No, I'm pretty sure they use 3ds Max for modelling a lot of the time. In interviews and on the bonus Halo 2 disc i'm pretty sure they mention 3ds Max. --RC wonders if Steve will ever stop talking about himself in the third person or that he has taken it upon himself to keep this odd tradition always. I don't know what Craig uses, but I know that Bungie has used Photoshop for their 2d art. If you're interested in getting into the professional/commercial end of digital art, Photoshop would be the package to look at. -- Steve uses Paint Shop Pro, himself, but that's mainly for web work.

Good question. Besides the art, I'd like to know what program they used for making the 3D models. I know Square Enix used Maya for a few Final Fantasy games. I've tinkered with a few programs, I was just wondering what the pros at bungie use to create stuff like the short film on the map disc.
