I bet a Space Marine with a power fist (that's pretty normal equipment) could beat a Scarab to death. Oh, and their numbers... There are about 100,000 SPpace Marines, which are all fanatic, super augmented soldiers with an armor that could resist a Spartan Laser blast EASILY. Plus, they DO have energy swords, and their bolters fire explosive rounds which would tear apart a SPARTAN II in a few shots. SM Spaceships >> UNSC spaceships 100,000 Space Marines >>>> a few Spartans Plus, some of the Marines have psychic powers.
