Posted by: Frauka
Posted by: ROBERTO jh and......your validity in this discusion just hit the fan. Congratulations! You officially confirmed that you are unwilling to accept the power of the Halo universe! Thus, you are no longer a viable factor in this argument. We need unbias in this.
Ahaha, this is rich! So, because I refuse to do work you lazy bastards have to do, I lose validity? It's also funny you didn't say the same to your friend who said that Spartans would win regardless of all the evidence against it. Also, you three actually believe a ground force can destroy the crust of a planet? Really, you three literally know less than nothing about basic physics. Go learn high school physics, energy densities in particular, and figure out why you have made yourselves look daft on this topic. But if you're lazy, I think I can explain it; the yields you speak of would create fireballs that engulf the planet multiple times over, destroying everything, but not before turning it into a giant wave sent hurling at massive speeds. The entire planet has storms of plasma, and the surface is thousands of Kelvins hot. The Flood would NEVER be able to survive or stop that, making any ground combat impossible for them. Even the Onyx Shield World Sentinels couldn't match anything nearly that powerful in their thousands. No, they created megaton explosions then. I guess normal Forerunner troops are superior to even them, right? As in... making mass extinction events with their standard weapons. Do you still defend this idiotic claim that ground forces can crack crusts? I think it's safe to say that these weren't ground forces, but instead things designed exactly for what they did. Also, yeah, this topic is about Spartans vs Space Marines. So, I guess we can put this to an end and get back to that, alright then?
Yes ground forces can destroy crusts. That battle was when the forerunners invaded the homeworld of the prophets. That's how the planet looks like when ground forces invade it. Wanna know what kind of body armors the Forerunners weared?: http://www.halopedian.com/War_Sphinx http://www.halopedian.com/Seeker_(Forerunner_Armorsuit) The capabilities of those badasses are: -They can be dropped from high orbit -They can sweep continents and decimate entire citys -They can rip apart entire starships with their strenght and throw those starships into a planet And no we are not exagerating on thei capabilities, they can do it.It's a fact. Can someone give this guy some quotes from the books on the capabilities of the war sphinxes, cause my parents have hidden my halo books during school period. Look at yourself. You are trying to explain how wrong the crust busting groundforces are with scientific explanations which is highly inaccurate in fiction . Look i'l just stating a fact about applying science to fiction, you can't do it. Exemples: Star wars hyperspace can't be possible as nothing can fly at the speed of light. I could go on all night about things that defy science in comcis and sciencefiction Consider superman simply hovering above the city.According to newtons second law, there must be some upward force to balance the downward of his weight. Or all the water in human torch's body should evaporate within seconds when he transforms into a flame. Batman would need super strenght just to not have his arms ripped off when he catches himself midwell with a cable. The sudden stop in these situations would kill him or at least break bones, same with when he falls from a building and stops his descent with a grapling gun would put the same amount of stress on his body,... Well guess what Forerunner ground forces can destroy the crust, defying science and mechanisms. If you disagree then you are conflicting the Halo canon According to Bungie : -Games -books,comics,...(Cryptum) -The rest You or any science laws aren't in this list That means: Halo canon>>>>>>>>>>>Your bull-blam!- claims Never try to ignore evidence in sciencefiction with using real life laws as your main arguments. The book doesn't mentions any orbital bombardement in that battle,it shows the ground battle.
