Here is 1 reason why some people don't like it. However, I still stand by my initial "Dafuq it's free stuff. What's not to love?" Opinion

1. Create event where winners are awarded loot.
2. Eff up your drop rate (like this hasn't happened 10x before) so nobody is rewarded their loot.
3. Say eff it and just give free loot to everyone, thus negating the entire point of trying to win.

Judging from responses, everyone is probably on their periods! No disrespect to the ladies and all that (Nanao Chan will probably kill me if she reads this lol), but that's basically what I'm seeing..

It is the same as receiving an exotic engram the week after receiving nine strange coins from a nightfall. It is too little, too late. Why wouldn't they have already have made it possible to earn a ghost at seven rounds as a quest reward? Simple. Bungie messed up and is now trying to put a bandaid on a flesh wound. You aren't the black knight Bungie, that isn't just a scratch and the consolation prize ghost is by no means an acceptable apology for screwing up the loot tables for the... I don't even know how many times Bungie has messed up the loot drops, but since they never really got it right... a single apology does not make up for a lifetime of mistakes.

I find it unbelievable that they could mess up their own loot drop rate, didn't they run a test someplace? I'm sure they have a test version of the game they use.

What pisses me off is how come bungie cant do this to the raid looting system? I would actually raid.

3 RepliesI think the people who are pissed are just jealous. If you look at some comments here, its often "bc they grinded in the raid to get that 320 ghost" or stuff like that. And they say its too easy to get a 320 ghost. The problem is, that there at least as many people who were pissed if the droprate would be abysmal low (like one every 40 or so games). So Bungie has to make the decision who to piss off. I really dont get that jealously. Yes they can get a ghost pretty easily but who cares? Does it make you less good? You still have a 320 raid ghost and they dont have. And if you think they will be good just because they got ONE gear item that has a 320 light level. They still need 9 more to reach max light level (which is honestly not that important as lvl 42 back in the day) TL:DR: Stop being jealous and have fun.

If it wasn't due to them seeing their player numbers for CD tanking, you would have never seen this. People need to realize that they run this game off of spreadsheets and computer data. Weapon balancing is a prime example. With the emphasis put on the hours played stat by sctibungle, you can bet that they started having emergency meetings Tuesday afternoon.

1 ReplyThe community is a large and varied place. Some people will complain about one thing, then others will complain about the solution. These are not the same people and treating the community like a hive mind will always lead to observations like yours. The people that are happy with the change aren't about to flood the forum with gratitude the same way that you don't fill out a comment card at McDonald's when your Big Mac is satisfactory. People that are satisfied tend to just move on with their lives. People that are upset are the ones that regularly seek out a place to cry about it.

its those same people I wonder why they are still playing this game, it must no longer be a deluded fun time if the bitch about something so menial it is dwarfed by the real issues of this game in its lack of sustainable content.

I'm guessing the people that are pissed are the one that have grinded the raid 3x a week for a 320 ghost without getting it only to see bungie give one away to everyone for almost no effort, I can see how that could be frustrating.

Yesterday they were all crying for 320 ghost drops from activities. Now, we are guaranteed a 320 drop and they still cry.
