Just moved up from the 360 to the one and got warframe. Any tips and tricks some veteran players are willing to share with me?

1 ReplyEdited by Bitter Mercy: 2/14/2016 4:52:04 AM>Your starting Platinum is NOT tradable, so spend it on either slots or Orokin Reactors or Catalysts, which can be located in the market >Clear every stage within each planet, as it unlocks Nightmare stages and Nightmare alerts with grant neat rare mods upon competition >Every boss drops Warframe parts, once you've built the 3 required parts for a frame, you can purchase the entire Blueprint from the Market and construct them for use >Mastery rank is required for many powerful weapons, you can obtain this by levelling Warframes, Kubrows, Sentinels, Archwings and Weapons to Rank 30 >Formas are items that can be used to "prestige" your items, they allow you to add a polarized mod slot to your item which halves the mod usage to that slot, if it matches polarity, Formas can be bought for 20 platinum, but, they're a very common drop on Tower missions >Orokin Catalysts & Reactors will double the mod point capacity on your item, these are extremely valuable, you can get them for from via Alerts, Events, Invasions, Quests and the Market, the latter will cost you 20 platinum ea, make sure you use them only when you think the item deserves it, not all weapons and frames are good, if you don't enjoy them or they're not effective, don't use a Reacter or Catalyst on them. >you earn 6,000 Mastery for getting a Kubrow, Warframe, Sentinel or Archwing to Rank 30, 3,000 if you get a Weapon to Rank 30 >You'll collect plenty of materials, make sure you're always building something, You can build weapons by buying the blueprints in the market, most weapons are good for just boosting your mastery rank and can be sold right after hitting 30, saving you inventory space, You don't need to take things out of your foundry once they're built, it has basically unlimited slots, so, let fully constructed items just sit there until you're ready for it >Have fun with the game, many of the players are nice, so asking for some help from others will help you get far, try not to burn yourself out, many the missions are tainted by the copy/paste brush, so doing them rapidly will ruin your experience

3 RepliesNot quite offtopic but is Nezah worth getting?

1 ReplyBuild 10 extractors, get the Warframe companion app if you have an iPhone or android device, deploy and collect every 3 hours, oh I should mention you can deploy 1 extra drone every like 2 or 5 levels of mastery, i don't remember, the most you can deploy at once is 5, anyway eventually you want to do this and get into the habit of doing it, as you can supplement getting common resources from low level planets you no longer play on. Basically free resources.

Warframe will eat you up and make sure you won't come out for a while. You'll be addicted. Keep your sanity.

1 ReplyI love how this has become a Warframe hub all of the sudden, I remember when it was just a post here and there.

Edited by Lady Masque: 2/14/2016 5:51:58 AMI'm not going to post an article about it, so I'll say this.. Be patient. It's some of the best advice to give with Warframe. Patience is a virtue.
Also, PM your GT if you'd like to play sometime. I'll add you.
Though I will add, There is a Youtuber, Tactical Potato. He recently started up a guide series for new players. Consider checking that out in addition to advice here. Despite being a two year veteran, I learned a few extra tips I didn't actually know.

1 ReplyAdd me on xbox my gt is the same as on here, Im currently taking a break til saryn prime come out in a couple days but feel free to hop into my parties ask questions and Im normally in parties with clanmates who are on warframe. Also would you like to join a clan?

5 RepliesJoin a clan, you will get access to heaps of stuff, guildmates are also usually willing to help run you through stuff/give you stuff. Spend your starting platinum on weapon and frame slots, you have to pay for "bank" space, so make sure you do it before you run out of it. Get the warframe wikki app, it will tell you where/what/how, the rotation a/b/c bit means the drop table ratates a,a,b,c. In an endless mission first 5 waves/minutes is a, then a, then b, then c, then back to a etc. Get to rank 2 as soon as possible so you can trade, that is done in clan halls, another good reason to join one. Good youtubers to watch to get up to speed are mogamu, tacticalpotato and agayguyplays. Quite shy/shallow is good for a laugh, but doesn't explain much.

Snipers are good. Atamos is better. Do loads of void missions. Volt is good. As soon as ye max out a weapon, get a new one. Dont buy shitty weapons ye wont use cos weapons slots cost money. Join a clan.

Edited by ALIAS-F4LS: 2/13/2016 6:04:53 PMJoining a clan is a world of help. The platinum you start with should be put into frame slots (trust me you want slots). Mod cards will give you extra stats that will make your gear much more effective. I suggest lvling whatever you use all the way to 30. Leveling gear brings up your rank which gives you access to better gear. Kind of obvious but pursue boss fights (Assassinations). It unlocks more planets to work on. The rest is just getting a feel for the game. (Side note if you need a clan I do I bit of recruiting and alliance forming)

If you have questions, youtube it. Also youtube for n introduction to modding. Modding is the most important factor in becomming OP

2 RepliesHaven't played for that long but what I have learned is that stealth is a waste of time.

It took me a good 80 hours of gameplay before I actually understood and learned everything. Find a good clan and they'll help you with anything you need.

Tip 1 of 1 - Get a new game.
