I cannot believe it

It just shows how little they care about the game 1 they know what the loot table will be 2 they know what the drops rates are after 12 hours of play 3 their code is so poorly designed the only fix is to drop Something a week after the event 4 the designers of the event were not even aware of the bad drop rates Same thing with ftl they made a quest line impossible to do because the items were RNG to complete the quest It would be like buying a Lego box and finding 5% of the pieces missing They try the same thing in IB oh we did not realize the drops are bad And bungo is their name O

My problem isn't with the ghost. Sure, it's a nice gesture from bungie, but they are doing it for 2 reasons, neither of which is for the players: 1. They screwed up the entire game with their stupid RNG, so now they're "helping" us by giving us one free 320 item. No choice on what item. Only a ghost. 2. They decided on this "gift" AFTER they checked their precious numbers. The players have been screaming about RNG and the terrible system for months. NOW, they decide to throw one bone to us? Why? Because "their numbers agree" with the players. This is not a gift. It's called patronizing: to treat with an apparent kindness that betrays a sense of superiority. Maybe bungie really does want us to be happy, but they need to stop relying on their statistics and start listening to their players.
-
Yep. Wanted a chrimson ghost. 100+ matches 3-4 hours a night and guess what. No ghost. I bet the free one won't be the one I need as well. Iron banner 3 ghost per account + drops. I ask for same thing for other PVP events.
-
It ain't free buddy. You still gotta play. 7 matches. No suicides. Since ghosts are what seems to be the most common item people need to hit 320, of course that's what they're going to give out. It's all for their numbers Guardians. Not for us
-
Well they could either let them drop at a reasonable rate so people can try getting them on all characters or they can be dicks and just leave it at ridiculous drop rates and give one per acct a few weeks later. All drops in CD kinda suck.
-
It's because it's one free RNG ghost at 320. If you want both ghosts, you obviously still have to grind. If you want a specific ghost - Crimson Or Sugary - you still have to grind. Because the free ghost has a 50/50 chance of being what you want. Personally I prefer the Crimson one. So I am still grinding. I put in about 3 hours a day since the event started. I have both shaders but zero ghost. Now I can't play the game for the next few days. And I have to settle for RNG. If any ghost is ok for you, then you can stop the grind and move on in life.
-
It's not free, moron. Get your addicted-addled mind out of bungie's rectum and try thinking about it objectively.
-
It's cool.. I won't jump back in just for a 320 ghost. But a lot of people want that. It is kind of sad that Bungie had to admit that no one is playing doubles because it sucks and so do the rewards.. so now they are just going to give 320 ghosts away if you play 7 games. Desperate move
-
Seeing as how many people have run totems (which can be a pain in the ass) relentlessly and not received a guaranteed 320 KF ghost, I can understand how some might be a bit salty about the free ghost. It's basically a participation award. "Thanks for playing. Everyone's a winner!"
-
It's a guaranteed max light level item as a mere participation reward - that's the same thing as getting a 320 primary weapon for failing to kill Oryx or getting a 320 special weapon for losing 3 games in a row in Trials of Osiris. Not even reaching the light house in Trials of Osiris is guaranteed to give you 320 gear - I don't see why simply participating in Crimson Doubles should.
-
Lesson number one in life: people are always complaining.
-
It's not guaranteed. That is why people complain. And with the way Crimson Doubles is similar to ToO. Just two per fireteam, not three.
-
People can't leave anything alone. I don't see why anyone would complain. I think it's awesome! How the heck could you complain about that?!?!

Edited by Lost Sols: 2/13/2016 11:24:05 PMI can see both sides of this one. I don't really think most of the issue is with them giving out a ghost as the reasoning behind it. It's pretty bad that they're having to do it because their RNG has been so terrible and it isn't unreasonable that people who grinded content to get theirs are annoyed now. The other thing is that they're not doing it just out of the holistic goodness in their hearts. You know as well as I do that they want to get as many people to run Crimson Doubles as possible so they can say
Look at all these people who played at least 7 matches! People enjoyed finding their own groups!
It's another way to artificially up the participation. Personally I don't care either way on the Ghost.

Bungie will feed people a shit sandwich and the fan boys will gobble it up and say it was delicious. That's why this game will never get any better. Oh just give me a 320 ghost and everything is ok now.
-
It's irrelevant lol
-
I don't care, I play this game for fun so I don't care if I win or lose, if I see a free item, I'm happy for now
-
It's not free man. This is all content we've paid for in some way or another. I put three days into Crimson Days, having mild fun but was hoping to get just ONE shell. I didn't so I stopped playing in frustration. Now I get a sympathy item when Bungie should have just done some god dam* play testing before they dropped the new content. It's like the first time they've ever made a game before.
-
Bungie and their flawed infusion system are to blame for this. If we could have a reliable way to get up to 320 after months of grinding then this would never have been a problem. Bungie had no one but themselves to blame for it,it was a situation that they created and that they alone could have prevented.
-
At least they lured me into crimsons for 7 games .... Hope it's the chocolate one :D
-
I think it is good that there will be a 320 garaunteed ghost. My problem with it and I think most everyone else's is that the fact that Bungie has to do this illustrates one of the main issues (if not THE main issue) that Destiny (a loot based game first and foremost) has. THE DROP RATE's FOR LOOT IN DESTINY IS TERRIBLE. All the loot drop rates need to be increased not just by doubling it or tripling it; the drop rates need to be increased by orders of magnetude, 100's or even 1000's times higher. It should be frickn raining loot. Especially from the KF raid and especially from the strikes. Actually, strikes and the raid should gaurantee strike specific or raid specific drops. And that is because there is RNG on the rolls of those drops and for the fact that most people already had those guns in year 1. Example, Imago Loop. I and many others had this in year 1 called the Fatebringer. They take it away then make people run a strike over and over and over to try to get it again. This is fundamentally flawed.

2 down 1 to go.
-
Wait since when? Where? I want!!!
-
I couldn't care I mean I'll take now I'll have a 320 ghost a 319 and a 318 perfect for my 3 characters
-
Because their idiots lol. Self-entitled, salty, unappreciative idiots...
-
I have one question. They said suiciders aren't getting it. What about people who did both? I did three full runs with al my characters for one of the ghosts and every one I played either got both the ghosts. That's when I started doing the suicide stuff. Still didn't get them though :P oh, well
