Jesus Christ, new content and people STILL find a reason to bitch. I swear to God this community is an absolute joke sometimes.

I know man!

How long have you playing? Many day-oners frustration levels are valid from the lack of details and transparency Bungie have demonstrated over and over again.
-
Been here since day one and I could care less, its a game and you should treat it as such
-
That's you. You might eat what ever Bungie feeds you, others will not.

I'm a day-one player and could care less about transparency. It's just a game and Bungie has always had a record of delivering bigger and better experiences in their sequels. So I always figured the shortcomings in Destiny would be improved upon in Destiny 2. This community consists of mostly children, very impatient and demanding. Bungie is a great developer who is most definitely listening to the cries of their fanbase, wether they acknowledge it or not.
-
Couldn't care less.

Edited by MatrixasISeeFit: 2/13/2016 12:08:01 AMThat's fine, but you are basing your hope and optimism on past actions of a company where many employees have moved on (some back to 343). You have to understand (as I already said) gamers play games for different reasons. You might call people entitled and children, but the Facts are: 1. Bungie has continually lied about many different aspects of Destiny since the game has been launched. https://youtu.be/7sfNsUB4oH0 2. Bungie always gives vague details about future content. They purposefully do this because they know and expect the hardcore blind fanbase will buy that content anyway absent any details. If you really want to laugh Google: Bungie->Vague->content. Let me know what you get... http://news.softpedia.com/news/bungie-destiny-s-spring-update-will-deliver-gear-challenges-light-increase-500295.shtml 3. Bungie's corporate business is in a state of flux and many people are concerned about the future of Bungie and how their corporate turnover will effect future content. This isn't just gamers, but ATVI shareholders as well. http://kotaku.com/bungie-ceo-harold-ryan-is-stepping-down-the-studio-s-1755728735 http://www.thestreet.com/story/13457874/1/activision-blizzard-atvi-stock-plunges-on-weak-2016-earnings-guidance.html 4. Bungie is losing their fanbase. http://gameranx.com/updates/id/35976/article/bungie-wants-to-know-why-you-stopped-playing-destiny/ I could add plenty to this list, but even these examples show Bungie is anything but a "Great developer" currently. So you can put your head in the sand and keep telling yourself that, while other gamers demand information and more accountability from Bungie. I could say you are the one acting like an entitled child by ignoring what are clearly important issues effecting the future state of the Destiny franchise.

Well said. Bungie are still living off the false rep they got from Halo. It's seems really obvious now that they were being kept in check by Microsoft, and that any decent staff the might have had, are obviously not there anymore. The way they treated the music guy from halo and destiny, Marty, is all I need to know about Bungie. New CEO or not, they are the scum o the earth.
-
Look man, when you started this game you agreed to a User End License Agreement that says you don't own this game and Bungie can do whatever they please with it. Bungie is a good developer that obviously invests huge amounts of time dedication and resources into bringing some of the most high quality games ever made to market. So these outlandish claims that all they want to do is lie and cheat their fanbase, are so ridiculous it's comical. The people that work there (old and new) understand that working for Bungie comes with a pedigree they need to uphold and I personally believe they do a pretty good job of that. -sincerely a Bungie fan since 2001
-
You are so blind. Bungie fan since 2001. You are the reason Destiny is a mess. You have blind faith in a company thats so obviously corrupt as -blam!- now. Bungie have done nothing during the time destiny has been out to convince me they are a 'good developer'. A good developer would have taken Destiny to an untouchable level of greatness. The potential was there. Bungie killed the game trough incompetence and greed. You suck up to that all you like sheep.
-
You're a miserable person. Good luck
-
With all due respect, you're the reason that Bungie is a mess. Your constant complaining hinders this community.

Edited by MatrixasISeeFit: 2/13/2016 12:38:38 AM-User Agreement doesn't have shit to do with what we are talking about, but nice attempt to redirect. -You obviously prefer to bask in blissful ignorance of current events while holding on to past glories. That's fine, you love Bungie and they can do no wrong... I get it. It's -blam!-ing ridiculous, but I get it. Either way, we both aren't going to change our views on this, so let's just agree to disagree.
-
Edited by Folk: 2/13/2016 12:47:39 AMIt's just a game though dude, there's no reason to let it get you down. It's obviously an upsetting issue for you. You should take a break from Destiny or maybe try some other games in between content drops. Also I mentioned the UELA because you keep saying Bungie continually lied to you when you agreed that they can do whatever they please with their product. Hence they can say whatever they like about upcoming content or direction for the franchise and then change that direction however they see fit.
its just not that serious
^^^ This. Home run.

Pre-day-oner, here... gotta say, I'm pretty sure the lack of transparency and s it came from the old President. Since he stepped down, Bungie has made a pretty decent about face on everything. In 3 weeks, they've grown much more transparent, engaged the community, and actually show startling promise. I'm laying this all at the head's feet. Bungie is kinda acting like Bungie again with the new guy in charge.
-
I've been playing about 8 months now with more time played than a LOT of Day 1's I've met. I've chewed the same dirt and spilled the same blood, only difference is I was coming of age in HoW.
-
Right, you've earned your stripes, no doubt. I'm just saying people that has been here little longer, has heard more lies, more vagueness and more misleading information. Everyone has their limits and some people are just at their breaking point.

Edited by SplinteredSteel: 2/12/2016 7:49:52 PMIt's just a matter of learning what to listen to, with this way with any company on the face of the Earth. Case in point, I really LOVE some of my Year 2 weapons, especially my Herja-D I bought from the gunsmith this week it FRICKEN OWNS, but I don't let myself get too attached to them. Know why? Cause I know they will be obsolete in Year 3. Bungie has not said this but I EXPECT it to happen. Therefore I don't get my hopes up. Live life this way as well, expect the worst and something better always happens. But know this you will not see me reforging weapons the night before Year 3 release like I was doing the night before TTK.
-
Well what you are essentially saying is expect the worst and you will always be happy with what you get. This view also holds Bungie to absolutely no accountability for quality standards or otherwise. I understand people play games for different reasons, but you can't expect everyone to adopt your view or reasons for playing.
-
Edited by GrundleBeans: 2/12/2016 9:51:54 PMTo be fair, neither can you expect others to adopt your point of view or reasons on this subject.
-
Well... that's the point I made. That's why I said it.

Edited by SplinteredSteel: 2/12/2016 8:05:27 PMEveryone loves what they love and hates what they hate Matrix, it's what makes us individuals. But when I add up my played time and divide it by my cost of Destiny. I've paid .6 cents an hour for 1000 hours. Hella fun game for 6 cents an hour!
