I know folks do this but why? Do you get better drops, just bored,or for replay value i.e. for fun? Just been thinking about it and would really like some sound advise.

I made a second account to start fresh. Much better idea, I get ALL my content plus i get to keep my other three main characters.

3 Replies16 months to get all 3 to 300. Crap drops. Deleted all my characters and gear. 3 weeks later. One at 308. 2 at 299. Better gear and drops. Go figure. It was worth it.

Me and a friend both reset our Warlocks Tuesday, just to have something to do. For me the fun oart is leveling up and getting ready for the raids. We are going to run all the old raids and POE at the proper levels, just to have some fun.

I deleted all three of my 40s at the beginning of the year, primarily because I felt I was becoming a little too addicted. I suppose I could have just put it aside but I also didn't feel that connected to the characters like I do in other games. Maybe a bit of a harsh solution but it works.

I actually did it today, reset my warlock, mainly because he looked stupid and it annoyed me. I never really use the warlock so if I don't get it back up to 40 it's no big deal.

People do it to fake their KD. Or just because they're bored.
-
I did it just cos i wanted my titan awoken

Don't do it, you'll lose all progress for your character and will have to start fresh.
-
Don't do it. There's gonna be a spring content update, and you're not gonna want to be grinding when it happens. Just play a different game if you're bored.
