Today I Realized Something....I'm Done
After this week's event, today's update and the more than ever awful lag in the crucible I realized that I am done with Destiny. I'm just done.
After all the hours. And all the nights. All the raids. All the time with friends. All the pvp matches. The all night Trials passages. Grinding. Everything. I have enjoyed so many experiences in Destiny. But ... I'm done. I've spent many many hours on this very forum talking with everyone about this game, and other things. You could say I'm a little sentimental about the whole thing. This is the first mmo I've ever been a part of. The very first game, in fact, that I have ever played with others. Can you believe that? And I love it. I've made real friends. But I can't continue with this current state of Destiny.
They will not change this game. They make it worse all the time and we complain about it over and over again. They lie, cheat, and manipulate everyone through miscommunication. They take our money and can't deliver a product in time for us to enjoy it. They implement new things and test them on us, only to enrage us with the issues the systems generate. I am tired of being the hamster in the wheel. Chasing rep and exotics that mean absolutely nothing other than to look cool.
Because that's all this game has turned into. A sugary shell on top of a horribly rotten piece of garbage.
I'll try and play here and there to help friends until the Division comes out, but I'm just done.

Oryx is too much for most people to do unless they are 320 and carried. They should have insane drops that make people get better. VoG was a big learning curve for all of us good players (because it was holding gold. Started that raid thinking wtf is this shit its all poping off and people telling me to stay alive and hide behind atheon somewhere during the end fight. Then left that place weeks later smashing atheon in a few runs after making tactics with other noobs. Now its like people just think they can drift through and get infusion fuel. No great vex and no rewards making you try your best in order to get them. So therefore people stop communicating and have having fun while trying to do well and make new strats. 10% of lobbies now are bearable and the other 90% are just bitchy, grumpy or just full of gjallarhorn shooters rather than sword bearers. Bungie needs to know the realness of their game and need to mislead us by making pvp events. When their simple solution, rather than instantly give us raids (which we have to wait a year for anyway), is too add better guns and armour, add old raids to the equation (scaling isnt hard they have dont it to strikes in every dlc), either make all year 1 things relevant or none at all and bring back elemental primaries of course (with consumables to eliminate the theory of slimming down gun uses and preferences). Bungie needs to listen to players that love the game, not players that know no VoG era.

Cool, but just remember that no one is making you play this game. It's good to take breaks and what not so you're not disenfranchised, but you might have left anyway. I know that I played Halo 5 for around a week straight cause I just barely got it and came back for some CD and enjoyed it all the same. The best way to describe Destiny is that TV show that you can always comeback to because it's pretty decent and kinda interesting and you know it's going to be playing on a few channels. You can't live on that show alone so you watch some other stuff and maybe something on the movie channels if you have them or you can just not watch anything really.

i stoped playing back in novmeberish and i play every so often but rarely ive been playing R6 siege most fun ive ever had in a game and i cant wait for the division

Have you ever thought about idk maybe not playing destiny every day for hours on end? If you play video games 1-2 hours a few days a week it won't get stale and content won't run out as fast *gasp*

2 RepliesI've been here since day one to and guess what my lights just as strong then as it is now. When the crucible gets tough the grenades get thrown if they try hard then you have to try harder. If they got a shoty bring the fusion rifle if they got a sniper bring the no land beyond and sink that bullet right in their body shotible toes if you get bored get max grimoire cause let me tell you if rather do oryx challenge mode with straight out the box Christmas noobs than have to get 5,000 side arm kills also master no land then fusion rifles then side arms then an actual snipe if it 1,000 yard state then that's ok to even if people get mixed up on overused and op and I'm ranting now soooooo to make this long pointless paragraph long explanation even longer why u always lyin. You no that you can't leave this game once you've (warning pun inbound) fallen in love with this game no matter how many thorns in your side there are or how many felwinters there will be you have to remember the ones lost in the 9 month thorn killing spree continue for them and if you don't then at least don't bring your problems to these forums ;P

Yup, ive played one strike and half a pvp match, since november, both on different occasions. The game is so boring now, waiting for destiny2

1 ReplyThe grind isn't for everyone. Don't delete your characters though. You can always play the new expansions until their content gets too repetitive for you.
