Sunbreaker Melee Upgrade Tooltip(s) Could Be More Specific, or Melee Needs Fixed
In particular, I'm talking about Thermal Vent in the melee tree that [i]"...Sunstrike releases a Solar explosion on hit. Kills create a Sunspot that damages enemies inside..."[/i] There's something that has been bothering me about this for awhile.
See, the Sunbreaker Melee has the effect to apply 'lingering damage' as part of its perk. Now to me, being that lingering damage is intrinsic to the melee charge itself, the damage it applies would be 'counted' as a component of the melee strike.
This meaning, when a computer program detects the lingering damage has killed a target, it would blame the source as 'Sunbreaker Melee' and thus, the melee is what killed them in the end. Meaning, the melee perk(s) should be triggered by lingering damage kills, yes?
So, let me put this here again for reference: [i]"...Sunstrike releases a Solar explosion on hit. Kills create a Sunspot that damages enemies inside..."[/i]
Should the Melee not, if killing a Guardian with the lingering damage->Sunbreaker Melee, create a Hot Spot anyways?
Because what happens right now, is either it applies the lingering damage and the chances for a Hot Spot popping up becomes 0, or you create the Hot Spot but the lingering damage never applies because it couldn't have.
[b][i]These ideas clash fundamentally, and at this point, it feels like this was a decision made against Titans to keep their viability low on purpose. Or that Bungo got lazy with coding again.[/i][/b] Neither of these outcomes sound good.
But if by some chance, this was all done in oversight for detail, then I hope bringing this up helps get the ball rolling. Seeing my class have potholes in its 'build paths' from the beginning, only to see it get nerfed and left to be forgotten, really only pisses me off more about this game in general.
Anyone else think it's weird it doesn't count already? (Anyone dumb enough to suggest this is going to break the game/meta?)
