Armsday Week 22

Morning Guardians! Happy Armsday. A couple of notables for those of you who picked up the [armory]Eirene RR4[/armory] last week. These two rolls seem to have a nice set of perks. Arc Condor SS2 / Aquila SS4 Firefly (Lightweight / Oiled Frame) (Life Support / Exhumed) Solar Yepaki SS2 / Aquila SS4 Performance Bonus (Snapshot / Injection Mold) (Clown Cartridge / Mulligan) I plan on replacing my current one with the Arc version from this week. The perks on my current one are: Arc Yepaki SS2 / Faucon SS4 Army of One (Snapshot / Oiled Frame) (Zen Moment / Exhumed) My current unit is 'ok' but Army of One for a sniper??? Melee and Grendade cooldown reduction for a long range weapon? Then Zen Moment... Sure for a Pulse Rifle or Auto Fifle but for a Sniper?!? Over all the Eirene is a solid hard hitting Sniper. It's one of the hardest hitting (Impact) snipers in the game (Black Spindle = 37 / Eirene RR4 = 34). The one downside to this is that it also has one of the lowest Aim Assist values. Still for thse with good gun skills its really fun to use. The replacement Arc unit will be welcome for its Firefly perk and also Life Support. I'll miss the Yepaki short range sight but I can get around that. Kinda curious to see what the Condor will be like. I also have another order on my Warlock so I can get the Solar version as well. I just want another unit with the Solar damage type. Hopefully this post stirs some thought.

I have an Eirene as my main sniper and really like it. Since you already have one you should be used to how it feels and handles. They feel so different from the 1000YS that I've found I can't go back and forth very easily. It is low aim assist but if you can put it on the bad guy's noggin it'll drop him quick. What sights you use are really personal preference but I've found that the Faucon is the one closest to the Ambush. I've set mine up with Luck in the Chamber (1 in 4 bullets does extra damage), Quickdraw and Unflinching...seems to work best for me in Crucible. If you can set it up with some reload gloves it can even give the spindle a run related to damage on the raid bosses.
