Sunsingers Need A Nerf Already
I'm more than positive I'm not the only one who has realised that Warlocks are generally overpowered in the Crucible. Void Walkers you can get around easy with Blink and other methods. Stormcaller you can just gun them down. But Sunsingers do not nesscsarily need their supers to do exponentially well. Even with max armor and Armor that increases your subclasses Armor, a Sunsinger can down you with no needed skill or even attempt to break a sweat. Firebolt Grenades are the exact reason why they are an overpowering subclass, along with that broken Melee that burns and gives them a shield. Firebolt does way too much damage, and has huge radius to hit you from. In general its a broken grenade, why doesn't arc bolt do anything similar? You can try blinking away, but its an inconsistent way of escaping it. The Melee shouldn't be so much in one, it just overpowers in the neutral if you try to push. While Firebolt can just level you out at a distance.
This [i]is[/i] a Complain thread, so I'm guaranteeing its just going to be salty Warlocks saying that it takes skill. Regardless, the meta in general will never be balanced. Never has been, never will be.

I use a Sunsinger for the easy wins. Was playing crimson dubs with my hunter and really had to work for my wins, switched to my warlock and it was easy breezy. You're right, but I hope they don't nerf it.

From what I've heard bungie says sunsingers are underperforming. So probobly will be buffed not nerfed

I'd love to hear a constructive criticism and suggestion for a Sunsinger nerf but instead all I see everywhere is crying. I used to main a Warlock since day 1 but recently switched to a Hunter as my love. The melee doesn't proc all the time due to a bug (which is well known and documented yet Bungie hasn't fixed), the firebolt range was already nerfed and doesn't have that large of a radius...if you nerf it anymore the entire class with grenades will be useless. The best and most reasonable solution in my opinion is to make the DoT from the grenade stop if the warlock dies. Also, stop crying. We need to stop nerfing everything in this game, soon we will have nothing left and this game will be just as bland as everything else.

Firebolts had their base damage reduced already from 97 to 86, along with viking funeral doing 2 less ticks of 7 damage than before. Yes they are quite strong but 1. It's only because everything else has been nerfed to oblivion and 2. We need to stop nerfing everything, start buffing everything else. PS: hunter main

15 RepliesThe only thing broken is firebolt w/ touch of flame+viking funeral. 14 second burn 174 damage and a grenade every 20 seconds. No other grenade even comes close to matching this.

Fire bolt doesn't do much its the burn that's the killer fire bolts already have received a nerf. So I your saying we should make the subclass that is the most useless for pvp unless playing solo that every1 complains about in raids gets a nerf

Coming from someone who mains a hunter, I see outside the box. Sunsingers are amazing for small battles like in skirmish and doubles. Of course you are going to get wrecked if you can't see that and change your tactic.

Yes, Flame Shield is OP. Definitely because Life Steal or the Titan's ability to regen health after each ability kill aren't op. And the Firebolt Grenade? The Magnetic grenade on the Titan is like a double fusion grenade. Titans can burn enemies too you know. Hunters also have the Flux Grenade, which is like Fusion Grenade, but with more stickiness. Firebolt grenades are just as deadly as almost all the other grenades. So don't say Sunsingers are OP. They don't even regen their health after a kill. And plus, why can't you use the same strategy to take down a Sunsinger as if against a Voidwalker or a Stormcaller as said in your post.

4 RepliesOh dear. What a shame. Someone else who thinks the subclass's only saving graces make it OP. Ok, well then, Titans shouldn't have Shoulder Charge, or Armor of Light. Hunters shouldn't have Throwing Knives, or Quiver. You see the ridiculousness of your post? You're literally crying nerf on the only thing that makes the subclass worth playing in PvP. (Personally, I run dual Fusions and longer Radiance, I don't need the burning Firebolts....)
