Is spanking child abuse?
Are you one of those dumb people that thinks spanking your child is abusive?
Edit: I see some of the people here dont know how to properly punish their child.
I am 18 years old and I have never done drugs, smoked, or drank. I learned about consequences because my parents always spanked me for doing something wrong. If they hadnt, I might have grown up thinking that I dont have to worry about consequences
I dont resent my parents at all. They are some of the best people I know.
I do, however, know a kid that does drugs, disrespects teachers, and thinks he is "all that". He was never spanked.

So, hitting someone is the best way to discipline them. Correct? If your child respects you enough you won't ever have to resort to violence. It appears you didn't respect your parents at all and they had to hit you for it. I was never spanked and I don't do drugs, I don't commit crimes, nor do I drink alcohol (by choice, because I'm not someone who thinks you should never drink alcohol.) So you're better than me because your parents took their anger out on you when you didn't do what you we're told and called it "discipline". Interesting. Well, since I was never spanked I guess it's time for me to go rob a bank and go kill some people.
