Maybe hand cannons need an accuracy buff. I get it. Not of us liked the thorn meta being shot across the map with tlw, but hawkmoon was once the best hand cannon and it's still good when you land the shots, but even at very close range the accuracy is just horrible.

2 RepliesBump!! I've been using HC since launch, they definitely need an accuracy buff. Some headshots don't land whilst others do. They should compete with PR at medium ranges but dominate cqc, yet they still lack power in that field.

1 ReplyArtificial inaccuracy. If you aim six hand cannon shots directly at an enemy's head, one will miss even though it shouldn't. This is just one of the ways bungie has nerfed hand cannons across the board. This is why I hate nerfs in this game.

3 RepliesEdited by Caligrown85: 2/10/2016 2:57:26 PMWell there is your problem, you need a sniper at close range. Your hits will be spot on head shots every time, even if your reticle isn't over said opponents face. Time to Kill is faster as well.

Totally agree. First shot with Hawkmoon I can hit... seems like after that no matter where I'm aiming I have maybe a 30% chance of a second hit. Tlw isn't as easy to screw up. Fan shooting makes up for misses with more shots. Thorn has a more predictable accuracy /shot pace. As long as the shot interval is long enough you can easily get multiple precision shots.

Yea all hand cannons have shit accuracy
-
they should just revove artificial inaccuracy from the game, replace it with a more violent reaction to recoil if they have to but shots should never be rng
-
I hope they don't see hand cannons usable just because TLW gets all the hand cannon kills
-
3 RepliesI can use hand cannons perfectly What range and stability do yours have
-
Bumpity bump, i quit using hawkmoon revelator and eyasluna cause of it
-
It seems that way unless you say "mississippi" between each shot (for me, at least). If you shoot faster than 1 round per second (or maybe even 1 round per 1.5 seconds), you trigger the "randomize this bullet" effect and you might as well be facing the other direction and hoping your bullets curve around to hit.
-
The faster you shoot the wider the bloom.

I seen this first hand, was hiting a guy that was crouched in the head like 3 times with hawkmoon and it was point blank range i dont think 1 shot registered and hawkmoon use to have excellent accuracy. Plus buff the range again that was not necessary
-
At least seems like it. Today, while sliding (did it to avoid being hit) I shot without aiming and it was a headshot. The guy died. Thing is I'm not good in pvp... most times I hit the torso area..

1 ReplyGood hand cannons are for close range...my scout rifle shouldn't have to challenge a hand cannon at range....
-
Yeah some of them still have issues with rounds going of to the side or just not appearing at all.

Edited by BRAZACK: 2/10/2016 5:02:17 AMYep, i made a post about this a while back but it got lost in all the nerf cries. This is why bungie gets the wrong feedbacks relevant posts like this just gets lost in all the chatter. Hc's are still useable but they cant be used competitively. They need to be tweaked.

I'm a handcannon guy and they are really good, but the lack of ammo is so annoying. I mean I go for headshots everytime I shoot and almost always get them. My precision kill ratio is 66% and I still run out of ammo all the time.
-
Yeah I can't even use hawkmoon anymore. It just doesn't feel accurate
-
Yea it seems there are a ton of phantom bullets. Bungie can't balance worth crap.

6 RepliesIt's just you. People are using hand cannons just fine.
