So as I have never seen another theory like this, I will assume that I am the first to think this. If I'm not please leave a link leading me to the thread.
My theory is as follows:
So you know how when you are walking up to the Vault of Glass in the mission Paradox, and the Goblins that are outside the entrance sort of stand up straighter as you approach? Well my theory is that they are actually saluting you, as they know that you will save them. Save them from what? The Taken.
Reasoning:
Unfortunately I can't remember what the other 2 ghosts say when you collect them in the heroic version of this mission, but I know for the first ghost, that Praedyth talks about how the Vex foresaw their own destruction. I believe that in another possible future, they knew that someone (the guardian) would save them from this.
Tell me what you guys think, and if it turns out that this is the only thread for this theory, feel free to add on to it.

If you could tell me which grimoire card this is from I would love to read it. I haven't played through the paradox mission so if this is actually from dialogue in the mission then I have no idea haha. But the four cards from the Paradox mission are Mystery: Praedyth's Door, and Mystery: The Vault of Glass 1-3. I've read those and a lot of others and I've never heard anything about the Vex foreseeing their own destruction so this seems pretty cool.
