Faction exotic quests: worth it?
Hit rank 25 with New Monarchy Sunday and was givien the quest. Is it worth it? I don't really play Crucible, so it would take forever to get 250 kills, lol.

Honestly, it's just for the collection. Hardly anyone wears them, rightfully so, because you have to be pledged to its faction in order to equip it. That, plus it's an exotic which costs far too many resources to upgrade...

I've got a 320 fwc exotic Titan mark...Cool spawn in...looks good...in my humble unbiased opinion.

By the time u get the ten wins you will likely have or be close to getting the kills honestly. Happens faster than u think. They don't serve much function but the respawn animation is kind of cool and they are a bit of an achievement to go for. Got my dead orbit Titan mark last week which was my first one. Seriously regretting not levelling my factions at all past rank 3 in year one.

Meh. I had already gotten all the ships and shaders from new monarchy by the time I hit 25. Did the class item quest and switched factions. It would have helped to get to 25, don't see much point in it after 25.

I did DO on my hunter FWC on my warlock NM on my titan wasn't a big deal and I'm not into destiny pvp no way am I bothering with alternate faction rank to get all 9 exotic class items

Not really. Not unless you are a real fanatic for the Faction. The Rep gain multiplier is 10%, the exact same as a standard Crucible or Vanguard boosting class item. But, because your Rep intake for Factions is 1/2 the normal Vanguard or Crucible Rep it has arguably less return, especially if you focus on either PvE or PvP to the exclusion of the other format. Exotic Faction class items are worth it for when you go to donate materials for rank up. Also, the cosmetics can be cool. The spawn in animations are unique for each faction, so there is that. Finally, because they are exotics you can use Glass Needles on them for stat and perk rerolls... if that it super important to you. That being said, many of them look really fun and I've collected them because I am a nut for Factions anyway.

2 RepliesIt's really cool to have a new spawn effect. That alone is worth it. It's also good if you don't have all the shaders or ships since you get more rep.

I did and suck at pvp, with iron banner around the corner I think you'll be ok... But yes it is worth it.
