Ok so my Truth is 315 and I have the ability to make it 320.
Will a 320 Truth really kill better than a 315 in ToO or PVP?
Normally I'd just boost the Truth but I could use the 320 to bring up another Quillem's for my Hunter or Titan.
How much do light levels really matter in ToO?
A 300 player should be dominated by a 315 right?
Does the light level make the 315 player harder to kill when attack by the 300?
What about once you get over the 310 mark or is there even a "mark".
i.e.: 312 auto rifle vs 317 auto rifle, any difference?
*EDIT: A launcher is a poor example when discussing the light differences; I mentioned the Truth just to get opinions on if it would be worth infusing up to 320.
The topic of light level would apply better to auto rifles or any other weapon that cannot 1-hit kill.

Bring up your truth wont do much, but it will have a feeling this of completion. Thats its lol. Your current truth is perfectly fine for trials.

if you use the truth and it will raise your overall light a point, it's worth doing. your light level effects the overall effects of your super, melee and grenade. so just bringing up your overall light will help.

2 RepliesIts all on the skill, light doesn't mean shit. I was a 305 when i started, me and my team wreck 315's+ The way too tell if your going against good players, is their grimoire score. 4500+ are where most skilled players are at.

1 ReplyThe difference in ToO and IB is minimal. For a rocket it's almost non existant. The different you described would equate to maybe 2-3 points of damage. I used Thorn in Trials which brought me to 295 and was still killing people 315+ in 3 headshots.

If you have one terminus 320 no reason keeping snother. I keep one 320 terminus and just got my trials MG to 320 (forget the name unseen eye I believe is the name) and I have a 320 thunder lord so I'd say if you like truth, upgrade it. If not, work on some swords that's my next step :)

4 RepliesI snipe with a 295 rare sniper and I can snipe rez and warlock self rezes. Its funny. My light with it is still 312ish

Light doesn't mean anything!

Doesn't matter some guys where using vex and ice breaker they do the job as anything else! Light only matters on paper

Doesn't really matter. I was killing people with an eidolon ally a couple weeks back.

5 RepliesCorrect me if I'm wrong (and some proof would be useful): In Trials of Osiris, being 10 light level higher would give you a 1-5% damage advantage over your lower light enemy. If you are 311, you are safe since the highest somebody can be is 320 (9 light levels higher). The question is, what does upgrading your Truth from 315 to 320 do to your overall light level? If that means you go from (example) 309 to 311, it might be worth it. In the end, the light level differences are almost completely irrelevant. You can google "Trials of Osiris light level" and see topics on Reddit regarding this. A 170 pre-TTK sniper is completely usable. Year 1 exotics at 170 are fine. Some even say that being 30 light levels lower then your enemy doesn't really matter lol.

3 RepliesNo difference the only thing that 320 weapons do is intimidate

Light level only effects power advantage enabled playlist when you're at least 20 light above or below someone. That doesn't mean the weapon itself. A 290 guardian using a 320 truth is still going to do 290 damage levels.

1 ReplyEdited by IggyQuim2: 2/9/2016 1:36:14 PMI believe level advantages apply if more than 10 light levels away. Still, they are just a small buff, i've seen 290s do pretty well in iron banner, so do not worry much about it, if you are just about 310 then do not worry at all! I would get the QT at 320, that's a solid gun for both pvp and pve, unless you already have one, no need for duplicates when you Can transfer guns between toons

3 RepliesNo difference. It's all about overall light level. I went flawless last week with nechrocasm at 170 attack. Put me at 305 light but that thing DESTROYS
