Got this today thanks to 2 kind Guardians who took me through it. A heavy fusion rail gun. Charge rate is sssslllloooowwww! After using it for a bit it is part of the collection and for bragging rights but I'll use a rocket launcher or heavy machine gun in that slot. The quest for it is reasonable up to the insane 280 "very hard" Saber strike.
Edit#1 Maybe I'm being just a bit too rash and judgmental. Thanks to those of you who basically said get out there and use it more!
Edit #2 Sorry for spelling name error. Thanks to all for their advice on how to use it.
Edit # 3 Great to see the discussions here. Thanks.
Edit # 4 I have definitely changed my opinions of the weapon from my initial post as I have been using it more and seeing that it does do the damage to bosses and enemies mentioned in your responses. Again, great comments and support, thank you.

-
4 RepliesNext time you are at oryx and on ogre duty, pop weapons and use a sleeper. Go on, I dare ya
-
1 ReplyIt's a beast, shreds boss like crazy. It just takes time and practice. I use mine all the time.
-
This is beast at 320. My first exotic in TTK and still use it in every PvE situation.
-
8 RepliesIt's like a celestial nighthawk golden gun, if u want something dead that's not a boss u shoot it with sleeper, will kill most yellow bar enemies in one shot, and if they don't die they have very little health left
-
3 RepliesOther than melting low level enemies the gun and the ricochet perk is useless
-
I have mine at 320 and I love the gun!
-
4 RepliesIf it makes you feel better it reminds you of the Spartan laser from halo
-
11 RepliesThe gun is bad ass dude. It can out dps spindle with precision shots. The only issue is ammo.
-
I two per ones the strike up to boss when some jerk joined when the boss what a tiny bit of life left
-
3 RepliesAt what attack do you get it at?
-
2 RepliesIt can rez kill a guardian. Headshots are optional.
-
1 ReplyIt works great against fallen walkers, as it's laser beam crit blasts thru multiple legs at the same time, thus tearing up that giant metal crab!
-
Sleeper Simulant does more single target damage than Gjallarhorn. Now that they've upped the reserve capacity, it's one of my go to weapons for strikes, solo missions, Court of Oryx, whatever. If you can land precision shots, good bye whatever you're aiming at.
-
My favorite in the game. It's like "CRITICAL HIT".
-
5 RepliesAwesome weapon in the raid. It annihilates ogres
-
1 ReplySleeper is one of me go-to heavies, especially for strikes. Now that you can carry 9 rounds, it'll really take a big chunk out of a boss's health in a hurry. It's also great when a random strong enemy is a problem. One blast is usually enough to take care of it.
-
1 ReplyNothing wrong with a 320 sleeper unless you don't have one
-
I use it on warpriest and Oryx. Does work on the shade. Use spindle on golg and tom on sisters.
-
1 ReplyGot a 317 sleeper and its pretty hard hitting and melts bosses fast. Need a 320 heavy to infuse into it so it can be a 320 as well.
-
1 ReplyI have a 320 Sleeper Simulant and love it. But I do agree it is not as practical unless your in the raid. Still wicked fun to use
-
1 ReplyIt was built for those Taken Champion bosses on Patrol, Strike bosses, and Raid bosses. Those are the places Ill use it.
-
9 RepliesJust use felwinters
-
4 RepliesThe very hard strike should be 310 light and way harder IMO
-
1 ReplyI was going to make a thread like this; it's extremely underrated. Its an amazing weapon.
