  • I think he was referring to how she kept the bipod extended even though the tripod is obviously a sufficient support structure.

  • I was teasing Achilles. What I suspect that he was actually speaking of her unaimed and rapid rate of fire with what is meant to be a long range precision combat anti-material rifle. Marines get slapped in the back of the head for not aiming and the lesson sticks if you want the slaps to stop. With the range and energy of that cartridge (which is almost nearly into the realm of light artillery), if you only have 10 round mags, and optics? You'll want to take your time and make each shot hit your target. Because one HIT will utterly stop it and then you get to engage any others. With that rifle, you're most likely out of their range when your just starting to stretch yours. So sending your only 20 downrange rapid semi-auto barrage? Now, if she was firing a Ma Deuce with a long belt? Punch the butterflies and track fire. But it could be about the bipod. It does look sort of silly hanging there, doing nothing.
