Is sniping in Destiny the least skilled of any fps currently on the market?
It needs a revision and a big nerf on some aspects like flinch after taking damage..
So im adding this next part just because some people dont want to answer a simple question instead they just want to be pedantic and immature.
I have never liked sniping its boring to me I appreciate and recognise a good snipers especially the NLB users. People can say what they want about my stats or K/D i run and gun or have and always will. I used to really love destiny but it going in a bad direction for IMO.

3 RepliesThe only people that think sniping doesn't take any skill whatsoever are either people who don't snipe and only watch gameplay, or people who are elitist players who think advanced gunplay is something done without trying. Sniping requires precision, knowledge of traffic sniping lanes in the map, vertical and horizontal corrections, drag scopes and quick scopes, all things that are not easily done without experience and muscle memory. The truth is that human beings are weak minded creatures, and would rather say that something is OP instead of accepting the fact that they got killed by a person who knows how to implement all the things just stated. Anything to keep the ego intact, I guess.

The slow TTK of most primary weapons, and the lack of weapon sway makes sniping less challenging, in my opinion.

Halo 5 sniping is as easy as it gets, huge head hit box and otherwise just a quick double tap, absolutely no kick on the sniper rifles. And you can get s legendary beam rifle that shoots 3 lasers at once

So just because you don't like a weapon and you find it boring thw weapon is bad? Just so you know bungie doesn't set thw game according to how you play but they set different types so they attract more then one type of player.

2 RepliesIt requires some skill, but once you understand how the AA works on your sniper it just feels less and less rewarding. Easy drag scopes and sometimes a quick scope here and there. Sniping in this game starts a bit rough at first, but honestly, sniping in this game is pretty easy. Low flinch when fired upon and well, no punishment at all for using a sniper. You always are safe no matter what. I wouldn't say it's the easiest since cod and cs both offer a 1 shot kill, but definitely this game isn't something to brag about when saying you snipe. Halo offers a bit more challenge with being knocked out of zoom when shot, Battlefield for realistic bullet drop mechanics. Gears for proper flinch that screws up shots. Point being, this game needs some punishment for using a sniper and if they add more flinch then yeah, It will feel rewarding again to get those domes since there will be some risk, but as of now. It's pretty iffy.

No. In other games that I have played, there were semi auto snipers with a 20 round clip, and it more often than not, 1 shot you in the body. Not to mention that you could set claymores/ stun mines with it and get Intel on everyone.

6 RepliesIt's fine the way it is because this game is for casuals. Some of you guys try to make it competitive but you have to remember that destiny isn't for competitive players. Destiny is a casual game for casual gamers. It's just not meant to be competitive and it will never be that way.
