The guns isnt even broken. Aim assistance isnt even as high as all the other snipers in the game.

People are so reliant on that gun it's something else. They are so reliant on it now you have a good chunk of guys out there using icebreaker or the sidearm glitch in a desperate attempt to have ammo for thier 1kyd aim assists. I mean I've used the gun myself, a lot, but now it's just really gotten silly. Guys using NLB just so they can snipe. Trials is going to be a mess. Think I'm going to go sniper sober for awhile.

20 RepliesIs it so hard to understand that the issue isn't that particular weapon? It's never been that, nor aim assist, nor any other excuse for why you hate it. It's simple. In Year 2, there are only 4 high impact snipers, Legendary or higher. One's an Exotic, which is difficult to obtain for a lot of players, the other is a Hunter exclusive, the 3rd is only obtainable from the Gunsmith every once in a while, and has scope designs that are off-putting to a lot of players. That leaves one option, the one that's the easiest to obtain, either from the Vanguard Quartermaster or a quest line. You want to see it being used less? Then beg Bungie to bring the old Year 1 weapons into Year 2. I personally prefer the LDR 5001 over the 1000 Yard Stare. The handling just feels so much more…fluid. Honestly, I'd say the Year 1 weapons are generally better performance-wise.

Clean the barrel, oil it up a bit. Make sure the trigger isn't jammed. Also try picking up the green boxes with ammo. Call 1-800-1000kys-help for a free +5 light

I bet you if you look at the number of high impact snipers available to everyone. 1. It is not broken, it is simply the only high impact sniper regularly available to everyone
