Would anyone recommend a souls game if I've never played them before?

Lol Ds2. And Bloodborne which is a souls game I spirit
-
All and any of them.

Ds2 was my first and I loved it. I want ds to become backwards compatible so I can't play that too but I'm still playing ds2 and I'm hyped for ds3

You can get dark souls 2: scholar of the first sin (comes with 3 huge dlcs) Dark souls: artorias of the abyss (comes with a bad ass dlc) Get both for like $20. I loved bloodborne but pvp wasn't nearly as tight.

Go with Bloodborne, it's a masterpiece. Miyazaki didn't work on DS2, the game wasn't as well received. He was the lead dev on DS1, Bloodborne, is a genius at intricate map design.
-
I'd definitely recommend you try one of the previous ones before thinking about getting DS3. Ps3 and Xbox360 versions are probably super cheap by now.
-
Dark Souls 2 is on sale on PSN. It's really fun, challenging, but fun.
-
How much?
-
$20 on ps4
-
$5 for standard and $15 for SotFS. That's the PS3 prices.

Yup, go for it. Just be warned its not for the faint of heart. If you easily get frustrated and shelf a game because it annoyed you then don't buy it. If you can take dying many many many times and will keep trying till you beat it then this game might be for you. They are hard, cruel & at times very unfair but to actually end up beating a part you beat is super satisfying. If you have money go buy DS2 or Bloodborne and give them a go so you are familiar with how the games work.

I would agree the games are hard but I don't think their unfair. When you die in these games it's because you've not played smart.
