Just curious to find out the percentage of people who prefer elementary primaries verses those who think the game is better without them.
Edit/Update - thanks to everyone who voted. Just FYI, this was just to satisfy my own curiosity. Bungie won't read this or respond to it. They have clearly stated that they don't really get a lot of information off of this Forum but they make decisions based upon data from players playing the game. Even when Cozmo does read and respond to Feedback, he only does so when a post is trending, which this one will not.

3 RepliesI like the game better without elemental primaries because I find there is a lot of more variety in PvE loadouts. I would hate feeling forced to use the fugly raid weapons.

Pepridge farms remembers when we had elemental primary's

I love the idea of adding an orb to your favorite primary to make it elemental. Many people have mentioned this idea and it makes sense. I can't imagine it would make a bit of difference in crucible seeing as guardian shields are not elemental. What harm could possibly come of it? God forbid we obtain a weapon that makes PVE encounters easier. Not that most are difficult at all, however, I would love to be able to finish OmniSkank in under 15mins. That bitch just don't wanna die!!!

2 RepliesMy idea with it was that xur sells 3 different orbs for maybe 15 strange coins each and each orb contains an element in which you can turn any kinetic gun into the element of the orb... It would be nice to have my bad juju shoot arc lol but its an idea... It wouldn't even be forced on a player... It would be optional

3 RepliesEdited by pacificdune: 2/8/2016 12:58:49 AMPeople used fatebringer because it was a strong weapon in a strong weapon class. Similar perks and a lot of people use hung jury now for similar reasons. The elemental damage was just cool to have... Sure, make it harder to get... Like it only drops after a zero teleport run... But taking it out completely was absurd. The equivalent would be McDonalds stops selling fries... Because people eat too many of them.

It meant you would change your primary slot load out to match the situation now you just use the primary with the highest light level. Although the current light system makes you just use the highest light level weapon you have usually regardless of the damage type. Which is a bit of a flaw in the system.

Xur should have a thing to make your favorite gun have and elemental burn

My time in Destiny has faded lately, Elemental Primaries is something I really miss.

1 ReplyIf a damn side arm can have an element, so can a primary weapon. Bungie's reason for getting rid of them was a loaded with bull dung. It wouldn't create "Go to" weapons if all primaries had elements, they'd be as even if they had no elements. "It devalued special/heavy weapons". No it would not. It made NO impact on what we use during a burn modifier. Players often come with the right weapons for the job anyway, a player can have all three element on him given the proper weapon and subclass choice, players will still use Snipers in PvE because of the damage output that can be done outside X Y and Z bosses' instant kill ranges. If they wanted weapons to feel special because they had an element, they should have reserved it for exotics for ALL catagories. It was strictly done to slightly nerf the player base. And, honestly, should be brought back.
