Pvp Hand cannon question
Hey all. So I've got 2 hand cannons. 1 is Eyasluna, the other is Byronic Hero. Both have Sureshot IS and Hidden Hand. Hero has Outlaw and smallbore, Eyasluna has Danger Close and Reinforced barrel. Both have same RoF and Impact.
Which is better for pvp?

Neither. Byronic Hero has better perks, but notably worse base stats beyond RoF/impact. Eyasluna has better base stats, but Danger Close is extremely situational and Reinforced Barrel hurts the weapon's stability. It boils down to you as an individual player. Can the good stats of Eyasluna allow you to get around its iffy perks? Or will Smallbore/Outlaw be enough for you to succeed with Byronic Hero? Dump motes into both of them and come to your own conclusions. The things you'll learn about yourself from this will be [b]IMMENSELY[/b] more useful than some opinions on a forum.

I would say give them a couple matches and go with what feels good. I think Byronic hero may have a better roll, but I don't remember off the top of my head what reinforced barrel does. Plus danger close isn't too great on primaries. Personally, I like the feel of hawkmoon though so I would maybe still go eyasluna.

1 ReplyRather than answer your question based on weapons features, I will answer it based on my experience playing Crucible a few hours every day. Byronic Hero is almost never used. I rarely see anyone shooting it. Interest in Eyasluna was short lived. When the weapon began dropping frequently a few weeks ago it became popular. I recall one match where a very skilled user on an enemy team was getting a lot of kills with it. But in the past couple weeks I seldom see it used. I have two of them in the vault, and they get no use, because I would rather use other, more effective weapons.
