It all started with fusion rifles.
First fusions were the dominant special weapon. Why even use a sniper or shot gun if you can shoot across the map with fusions?
Second was auto rifles and shot guns. Pulse rifles, scouts, and hand cannons were practically useless against the infamous suros regime and the only viable option for a secondary was a shot gun since fusions were out of the picture.
Third was handcannons and still shot guns. Snipers were beginning to come to the scene but what use is a sniper if Thorn functions just as well?
Fourth was a mixed period of change handcannons were still the most viable option. Pluse rifles like hopscotch and the messenger were actually holding their own against handcannons. Snipers were the bee's knees. Shot guns were still super powerful. What's a fusion rifle?
Fifth was pulse rifles. Hawksaw, grasp of malock, suros pdx, etc. Auto rifles tried to make a come back but only high fire rate low impact ones made the cut so put your shadow price back in the vault. Most legendary Handcannons died off and HC users moved on to the Meta. Shot guns were still powerful but at least sidearms could be a viable option. Seriously what the hell is a fusion rifle?!
Sixth is the great mida, last word, 1k stare. people realized tlw and even Thorn were still powerful. Pulse rifles are still good but not usually a better choice over tlw. Shot guns are still good after so many nerfs. Snipers are taking over, Specifically 1k stare.
I wonder the 7th change will be.
Edit: the point was that when ever something is nerfed or buffed it sets off a chain reaction that even settles down and becomes the new meta

The 7th is the rise of fusion rifles
they're slowly becoming known they rise again >:D
-
I've always been using them. #fusionrifles4life

Used the warlock exclude one the stability on it.. Damn and also plan C is sick again I think bungie did another ninja buff ;)
-
I hate plan c. The recoil is annoying and it shoots sideways. I use the new iron banana fusion and a year one fusion mostly.
-
Still the warlock exclusive it shoots so straight... And it changes elements in pve really handy in nightfall with a burn in it
-
Tru. I haven't use the susano yet I'll try it out. I wish it had more range though. The iron banner fusion is a good balance between range and stability. Plus I use gunslinger so gunslingers trance makes up for stability sometimes

Sad but true. Even if you get all the weapons to within. 1% of their perfect goal in pvp, that 1% will still decide what gun is proclaimed as the best and then people will jump onto the "best" bandwagon. Regardless of actual performance information.
-
Exactly. That's why I hope I'm destiny 2 they start off with a strong foundation for pvp so when they try to buff/nerf a weapon things don't get out of control
