Terrible drops.

It's rng. That's really the only way to do it without making something go way too fast. Destiny is still relatively new and there isn't a TON of content yet. Iron banner isn't meant to be an endgame event (light level 290 recommended). Kinda like nightfall, it's meant to give a Kickstarter into other endgame like kings fall or trials of Osiris. You can't expect to get a ton of 320 gear from something 263's can play.

Hahahahahaha - you know what is funny, I just went on google images and typed in "disappointing loot drop" in the hopes of finding some meme that already existed or finding a good pic to make my own and found that those key words brought up a good bit of Destiny pics haha. I got a 316, 312, and 311 armor from the rank 5 packages. I played all day yesterday as level 5 and never got more than a 317 ghost, and no weapon over 296. And no weapon other than the sold ones. I saw one ship drop and one 320 ghost in all the days playing. Bungie wants people to leave with these drops.

I've been playing off and on since year one day one. I thought it was just my account that was cursed. Playing raids, crucible, iron banner, and strikes; all I see is horrible drops. I guess we are all way too hopeful and believe that they will actually fix anything; why? they've made their money! The only reason I started playing again was because a few of my buddies from other games just got Destiny used and started playing it for the fist time a couple of months ago. Nothing has changed in the drops since year one! Where, I never got a Gallahorn or Black Hammer dropped. It's still the same blue 260's something engrams from the cryptard, or the same exotic that you already have four of! They need to fire the shithead that worked out the loot system before Destiny two is released! By doing that alone the game will be far better. For a rewards based leveling system, the formula sure if Fuk'd up!

I have played at least two characters to level 5 every Iron Banner and sometimes all three. I am pretty much light 314 regardless of what I run. The first Iron Banner after Taken King released I got fairly good drops. I got a 316 ghost and some around 316 armor. Not great but better than before. The last two times I have played Iron Banner I got pretty much nothing. At level three I got a blue 310 artifact with each character and 4 motes of light and 4 strange coins. Between 3 and 5 I got a couple 310 ghosts, I also got a couple of 280's and 290;s armor. Level 5 I got a 316 heavy machine gun and a 312 rocket launcher and strange coins and motes of light. It takes a lot of time to get three characters to level 5. You only get three bounties a day and until the last couple days they don't move you much. Iron Banner is one of the most challenging PVP events there is next to trials which I wont even go into but everyone knows how lopsided the rewards are in comparison. The stuff I've received in Iron Banner isn't much of an enticement to play it. I watched the other players and teams rewards also and they weren't much if any better than mine were. Unless you play hours and hours and have the same group of people you play with its hard to get a good team. I get stuck on random teams and almost always drop In on a game in progress. I think 7 out of 10 times I drop in on a loosing team that's down several thousand points. Bungie please fix your ragged random drop generator. Also If there is still going to be the Vault of Glass and Crota raids along with Prison of Elders raise the rewards to match the character. I like the old raids but they aren't worth playing because you just get stuff you have to throw away. I had all the Crota weapon and they were pretty much my favorites. We played long and hard to get them just for them to become useless. The POE weapons were useful for even less time. I don't have a regular group of people to play the Oryx raid with so I get invited in by people for parts here and there or have to sign up on the 100 web site to get a team to play with and don't know any of them. Its usually a cluster and people quit before you get through the whole thing. Make a version of the raid that is similar to strikes that generates a team. It seems all Bungie is concerned about is selling you silver and PVP. Ever time a group of people gripe about getting killed because they think it due to this gun or that here comes another nerf to the weapons. If my guns don't work I try other ones till something does. Fix the things that are broke instead of constantly changing weapon stats and coming up with week long events to sell silver and make a few dollars on. If your going to do all that spend some of the money you are making and fix stuff. I am like most I usually get on here because something is screwed up to voice my opinion. It seems like I am usually bitching when I get on the forum and I would like to be able to get on here and rave about all the improvements that are being made but that's not the case. I think Destiny is a great game but there are huge areas that can be improved on.

I played over 200 games to try and get the scout rifle to drop for me, it never dropped once :( i won most of those games too and i was playing solo as well. Oh but thank god it dropped 80 times for the person above or below me with perfect perks :D :D :D kill me now. Go -blam!- yourselfs bungie all i wanted was the scout rifle and i couldnt get it after soo many games of iron banner THAT IS -blam!-ING PATHETIC.

This is pretty much the story of Destiny since launch. Not sure why anyone is surprised that loot drops are terrible.

Yup... After reaching rank 5 I played some to try to get some other loot. Nope. I got 2 chest pieces, none above 290. Bunch of worthless blue engrams and 2 ghost shells of 310 light. I stopped playing cuz it was BS I wasn't getting anything good.

Iron Banner Rift loot drops: 8 pairs of boots, 1 chest, and 3 fusion rifles. Highest light was 305. Iron Banner is worth playing if your playing for the drops.
