Xbox live vs PlayStation network. I want to hear from Xbox live players
Not trying to start a console war argument.
I love my ps4 and believe it's superior , technology wise.
But I'm getting real tired of psn network constant issues.
So Xbox live users is Microsoft's network that much better than PlayStation network? I've herd live almost never goes down. While psn is down at least 4-5 a year
I've not played Xbox since the original big black Xbox. I went straight to PS3 after that.

2 RepliesThe Xbox may have a better network service but it still had its woes. If you recall a group had constantly harassed both consoles around the Christmas of 2014 but seemed to focus more on the XB1. So while I'd doesn't go down as often they both can go down. Why I get better service on a subscription free service like Steam on my PC is beyond me... No clue what I'm paying for on my Xbox...

3 RepliesNever experienced PSN but please tell me party chat is a lot better on PSN than Xbox live. Hard reset after Hard reset I'll be in a party talking it up then all of a sudden no one is talking. And after talking to myself for like 5 minutes I go to party and I'm not in it anymore. Annoying.

Xbl still goes down every now and then,but it's usually back up in an hour or two

It's only gone down a couple of times XBL one if not both were due to ddos and same could happen to PSN. I don't know PSN is meant to be better now it's a paid service? But I heard depending where you live their are some issues. Some experience non.

I prefer Xbox. I haven't played on a PS4 yet, but I'll probably end up buying one eventually. Especially, because of the many many wonderful things I hear. I hated PS3, but it's still a console. It runs games. I like the reliability of XBL, and I prefer the controller on Xbox. Honestly, I don't particularly care for any of the other differences. As long as I can play my games when I want to, it doesn't matter who's got the better hardware.

I have both, but honestly I play so much Xbox that I don't even know when the PSN is out, unless there's an article of the PSN being down. Xbox live usually has more technical issues rather than completely going down, like their social features such as party chat not working. That stuff frustrates me.

Xbox live goes down about once or twice every two to three months. I still wouldn't call it amazing because of the buggy snap app and the somewhat laggy party system.

It has its moment where, certain parts of the service are down, but that typically is to do with buying stuff from the store rather than the playing online section. I did transfer from the PS3, my recommendation is go where your friends are, you'l enjoy it a lot more.

[/quote] Most contradictive thing I've seen all day Anyway, yeah the live seems to be a lot better with us Xbox users, even when live goes down, it's back up either the same day or the next. Microsoft put full effort into getting it back up and running and Sony seem to do just about nothing.

Had a hacked account issue, it took almost a month but they investigated and recovered my 2000+ MS points that were stolen. They even refunded me the full year subscription fee for my first account that I hadn't used in over a year because I had made a new one.

1 ReplyXbox Live. Customer support gets better the longer you're with them, I've had gold for a total of 7 years. I had one malfunctioning Microsoft points card and they gave me two in return. Same thing happens to my friend, they just return one to him.

It's really annoying when I get home after working 10 hours and it's down but that's only happened twice. It's not up all day everyday but it's up more than psn. Plus the dedicated servers for exclusives are phenomenal I have a .20-.25ms ping according to titanfall which is blazing fast for me.

Edited by Malicious203FLK: 2/3/2016 1:27:30 AMIn the year and a half that Destiny has been out, I can only think of 3 occasions where Xbox live went down for an inconvenient amount of time. 1 of those times was from Lizard Squad and PSN was down too. The only reason I haven't bought a PS4 is because of how often I hear about PSN being down. Edit: Since 2007, when I bought my first Xbox 360, I don't remember any major instances of Xbox Live going down for an extended period of time other than the Lizard Squad nonsense.

So they used a lot of that money to have increased security so a hack like the summer hack of psn a few years back would never happen, at least anytime in the near future. Xbox live had been down for a while due to large amount of traffic (the first two Xbox one holiday weeks) of actual people and DDOS attacks. The ps plus for ps4 is a good step for Sony, as they can do what Microsoft is doing. It will take a few years, probably. I do not know if Xbox live went down in the past two years outside of the holidays, as I stopped using my 360. But psn only went down not even for an accumulated week
