Transfer from PS3 to PS4
O.K. BUNGIE staff. I tried going through the website to get an answer to this but there is no way to contact anyone there directly which is really strange but O.K. I get it I guess. I have a physical, disc, copy of Destiny the first disc for PS3. I have bought each and every DLC online. I recently upgraded to a PS4 and would like to know in PRECISE, STEP BY STEP, instructions how to transfer Destiny from my PS3 to my PS4 and still keep all of my characters, gear, light level, etc...etc...etc...without having to start over from scratch. I can't believe that a company would make a game knowing that eventually the majority of players would upgrade their systems and not have a way to transfer between the systems even if it is a discussion copy. I have read all the internet stuff and it isn't working so now, I'm turning directly to you. If I purchase a digital copy now will it reset everything to zero and make me start all over or will it let everything attach to it and then that will go over to the PS4? Please help me with this. You can look up my gamer I.D. RECONDOC3 and see that I have put far too much time and effort into this to start over from scratch. Thank you in advance.

5 RepliesAs long as you use the same account, your characters, stats, etc transfer over. As for transferring the game and dlc over...if you didn't have a digital copy of the base game by jan 15th, 2015 you WILL have to buy the base game again along with TTK. If anything, you're just better off buying one of the bundles on psn..or not. That's on you

6 RepliesOk to continue your progress just log in with the same credentials as your PS3. Your characters and progress are tied to your account. The Dark below and House of Wolves will transfer over for free due to the digital upgrade promotion program. The Taken King and destiny the base game are not part of the Digital Upgrade Promotion program, you will have to buy it if you upgrade or change consoles. You can read more about it here https://www.bungie.net/en/help/article/12122 The vanilla destiny will only upgrade for free if bought digitally by 1am PST January 15th 2015.
