Watch the first cinematic, "Arrival." The Master Chief used AL to survive the crash (Corpsman: "His armor's still locked up, Sergeant Major," "Your armor's still in partial lockdown..."). It doesn't glow and lasts a lot longer because it's no longer in its prototype form, unlike in Reach.
Uh-oh, it was in Halo 3. It must be good, balanced, and pro now. Bam!

Still doesn't change the fact that it's sux 4 multiplayer gameplay.
No link. I'm sure you can find the cinematic on YouTube or something. Sorry to inform you of this, but you're wrong. It was in Halo 3, therefore it must be competetive. If you don't like or use AL, you're a casual.
Yes, it's in Halo 3 but it's completely different my child. Firstly, and READ WELL, the armor LITERALLY locks-up to reduce dismemberment. This isn't gameplay related, it's canon. (Perhaps not the best word.) Secondly, armor lock in Reach overloads the shields to make them impenetrable, for battle protection. Not fall or something of the like damage. I know you're trolling, and I see the point you are making, but I couldn't resist making you look even more ignorant.
Lol, sir, I would hardly consider that you are making me look "even more ignorant." Frankly, I don't think I appeared ignorant in the first place. Now, if AL simply overloads shields, explain two things: why does it work when the shields are depleted, and why does it protect from high velocity, high-mass impacts?
