They're suppose to represent your connection quality to a player, but the bar doesn't seem to be very accurate. It's either the non-accurate connection bar, or there are some netcode issues causing the problems we see. I honestly have no clue what it could be.

  • This is the issue, its a client hosted game so if I'm not host then it only matters what my connection is to the host, doesn't matter about everyone else. Also its possible to show everyone having yellow/red bars. How if one of them is host? These kind of bars work on a server hosted game, but I'm pretty sure Bungie just put them in to distract people. Easier to blame that guy with a red bar than the network set up.

  • That makes sense, but they should have a system in place where the player with the best connection should be host, rather than be random. The thing is tho, you make a very valid point, but the the games I'm placed in claim everybody is in the green, but I have issues as if the people I play against are red or yellow bar.
