It's an emote that they added in for fun... Just like the enthusiastic carlton dance, thriller dance, and jump on it dance. Why is this any different?
After researching dab since that is a popular one, personally that dance is the new secret way to smell your pits stylishly.

1 ReplyEdited by joey big guns: 1/30/2016 9:25:09 PMHmm, I don't think it is the specific dance that has them mad. I'm sure what has a lot of players mad is the fact that there are things that we've been asking Bungie for months on this stupid forum yet they've been silent on it all. No word on whether Bungie is even going to fix the nightfall loot table, no word on raid drops or glitches, no word on whether they're going to make all the content that most day one players spent around $100-$150 on relevant or if this half asses overpriced no content $40 dlc called TTK is going all there is moving forward. Some of you might be mesmerized by the shiny trinkets and fancy moves dangled in front of you but a lot of us are really over that bullshit and we want answers. Weapons balance is probably something else ppl would like to know about and Bungie throwing Rift into IB really isn't helping them look better.

At least they have good tastes, in artists. If we get a Whip Nae Nae. I'll slit my ankles

3 RepliesI take it as the emote people listening to people on the forums asking for it. A.) It's a huge popular meme going around B.) It's hilarious C.) A lot of people asked for it. Some people will just complain about everything because they obviously have such boring lives all they can do is get on the forums and complain.
-
Everyone mad this time cuz once again here we are with a half assed events with prime time emotes , wish we had Primetime content with half asses emotes...
-
1 ReplyMeh, I would have accepted Gangnam Style, or Party Rock Shuffle over that "dance" any day.
-
I'm happy about it. I don't know why anyone would not like it unless they don't know what hot line bling is.
-
2 RepliesCause bungee is a f. I. C. K. I. N. G. Sellout
-
Not sure, I've heard the song but never seen the video. I could care less.
-
7 RepliesCuz its just a cash grab
-
I can't wait :)
-
People love to complain
-
Next I'd like the ability to whip... Just for the lols. Eventually, I want Gangnam Style. P.S. I've never used Destiny's micro-transactions and I still have my 400 glimmer. I'd never buy the dances, but I think it'd be hilarious.
-
I think people just want better out of this game and this company.

1 ReplyInb4 if you use hotline bling you're booted from my fireteam.

7 RepliesEdited by chilean sea bass: 1/30/2016 3:54:10 PMHow stupid do you have to be to ask this question? Seriously. The game is in the toilet - and has been for months - and they continue to put out emotes and microtransactions as opposed to actually addressing issues, adding content etc. Very simple.
-
It's such a bad dance though
-
Because people literally find anything to complain about no matter how big or small it could be now & days.
-
16 RepliesBecause this generation is -blam!-ing retarded to the extreme. Each generation gets more and more retarded. Each generation thinks the other is retarded.
-
9 RepliesThe game has rich lore that could be expanded on instead it's turning into those trashy free to play games. If they actually release some good content it would be easier to ignore the trashy stuff but atm, all we are getting is that stuff. Balance is the key.
-
Because it isn't a dance, it is a stroke.
-
Because it was added and Duane wasn't.
-
Most are using the content excuse as a scapegoat most of the people here and hipsters who think alternative rock and underground house music are the GOAT.

3 RepliesEdited by Amaan32: 1/30/2016 4:32:10 PMIts just annoying that there is so much wrong with the game right now and they're focusing most of their efforts on new emotes and new temporary activities. We have 3/4 of the pve content in the game being irrelevant, skill based matchmaking as the only option for pvp rather than having two playlists with and without it. General imbalance in the crucible with special weapons being way too powerful, issues with maps (ex: spawns on skirmish blindwatch), ridiculous lag in pvp that makes me not want to play the pvp which ive loved to play for a long time and the list goes on. Essentially they focus their time on creating new ways to get more money from their community through microtransactions instead of fixing their game that people have payed 160$ on over the course of the game and trying to improve our gaming experience. It feels like they dont listen to us at all
-
This community would get salty over literally anything. They just look for reasons to be mad.
-
7 RepliesHow about they fix the god damn game instead of adding a cancerous emote to the game that kids and teenage dickriders only like.
-
It's pretty much just copying others' useless "creations". I'm personally not fond of it.
