Call them the Redeemed instead of the Fallen (just the ones on the side of the LIght). I say race And class because I feel like Titan, Hunter, and Warlock are Earth species specific roles. The Fallen would, no doubt, bring their own fighting roles into this war.
Edit
There is an argument for a Fallen Race/Class to have just one subclass where you build and add abilities rather than center around three different supers. I think it's a cool idea. I'll quote below.
They will be a group of Eliksni who have seen the nobility in the heart of humans. Because they can empathize with the position we are in, they have decided to take up arms with the guardians to guard the light, and push back the forces of darkness.
The Redeemed also should have special quest lines where you will be under the command of Variks in an effort to restore the Fallen from their despair, and bring the Eliksni back into their former glory and pride. Of course, this is referring to the Eliksni who are willing.
EDIT
Wrote this as a reply below, but what if, as the Fallen were recruited to protect the Traveler and fight alongside Guardians, the Light that they were once given by the Traveler was reawakened within them and they rekindled the power to harness the Light.
Also, my favorite part about this, apart from the potential to tell more lore about the Fallen and really get to know them (since they are the race most like us in all this), is that as Variks becomes a more renowned leader among the Eliksni, we will realize that he is in reality the Kell of Kells that has been prophesied about!
QUESTION:
Idea for three supers (for the Redeemed race)?
EDIT
I realize that I confused Races and Classes. My bad. Usually good with that stuff. Let's pretend (for the supers listed below) that if Bungie implemented the Fallen as a new playable race, they would also be their own class, rather than having a Hunter, Titan, or Warlock Eliksni. Feel free to implement whatever ideas you have according to your own constraints.
Some from me...
Solar Wind (Solar)
A dome of plasmic fire explodes and expands from the Guardian at rapid rate destroying anything it touches. Health regenerated upon activating and temporary shield.
Violet Chamber (Void)
When you activate your super, you summon a vault of fatal void forces. When roaming, aim and press r2 to send a fast small portal at your enemy. If the portal makes contact with the desired target it will teleport him/her/it inside the summoned vault where the target will be assaulted by the elements until death. The chamber lasts as long as the super would. The chamber continues to exist if the user is killed until the time slotted to the super ends.
Raiton Winds (Arc)
Send a destructive disk of arc energy that returns to your hand. Explosions on contact, leave mini storms if touches surface and doesn't hit someone.
OTHER'S IDEAS
Oh, I'm aware of that. A thing to take note of is that there's more than enough mechanical abilities in the game to build a specific Subclass around. Aside from the Shock Grendes and Tripmine Grenades they use; they'd also have access to Lightning Grenades and Spike Grenades through teaming up with the Guardians. A lot of people feel like it makes no sense for the Fallen to have Subclasses and I kind of agree with that; so why not allow them to just do three specific "Supers" in their own way? (Ex. Base Super enables invisibility + DR for 15 seconds which will break on weapon fire, but come back within the next second. Then each specific node grants its own niche ability on top of that instead of just boosting the base Super)

2 RepliesEdited by Ace0fBlades3: 1/30/2016 6:59:49 AMOn the field of battle, a warlock, a titan, and a hunter are deciding how to attack the army of hive over the hill. "I'll tether them" the hunter says. "I'll use flaming hammers" the titan says. "I'll call upon the storm" the warlock says. Then the titan has an idea. "Let's let the new guy handle this". An eliksni of the light looks up from studying his gun. "Yeah," says the hunter. "Let's see what you've got." The eliksni tops the hill and looks down at the hive below. He activates his super... and pulls out a small speaker which he holds out toward the hive. A faint voice crackles through the static. "Dismantle mine, yyeesss?" The hive look confused for a moment and then all explode.

Thats too much for Bungie

Playable Fallen would be better served as a race than a class, IMO.

1 ReplyFallen were made for this game. Think about it- Hunters-Hand Cannon and Sniper rifle class weapons Titan-Auto rifle and shotgun Warlock-Scout rifle and Fusion rifle What does that leave? Pulse and sidearm. Dreg's promise and the shock pistols the dregs have are like sidearms. What about pulse? Ever notice those 3 shot bursts the falls shoot? Perhaps for Destiny 2 though

1 ReplyThis has been my idea long before you adopted it. Even the name.

I've always wanted to play as a Fallen Captain...

Sure.

Bump so much :D

5 RepliesI don't know about that, mate... I have personally killed 116 595 Fallen. yeah, really. You think four arms would get over that?
-
i think a cool ability would be called four arms and it ould make use of their four arms, so you could throw grenades and melee without having to stop shooting
-
I mean as a race I could be cool but the four arms could come in a problem with armour and as a class it would just be weird but I think if they allowed you to play as a fallen I would maybe they could even add a dlc where you play as a; fallen, hive, vex, or cabal would be kind of cool
