Let's ban the word nerf and only use terms like buff
All these nerfs kill the fun and everything we like eventually sucks... Bad. Instead let's bring everything up a notch so people can use what they like without losing the feeling.

Bump bump bump bump bump bump bump bump bump bump and finally Ultra bump I've been saying this for months, if you're going to nerf guns, you need to buff them as well to make them equal. on a scale, if one side is to heavy, you can either add or remove weight, if you add weight to one side, you can remove weight if you add to much. if you remove too much, you can add more.

1 ReplyI second that. For me Bungie could eliminate all NERFS to date and the game would be better. If we were also allowed to ascend any gear we wanted it would be haven. I wish they could put an end to this light system. Bring new content (challenges/missions/enemies/interesting weapons) but move away from the constant need to increase light level. Are we supposed to be Light level 1 MILLION some years from now?

Totally agree brother. But the destiny community is so afraid of a power creep. Even though destiny can buff every weapon class 6 times and still not hit a power creep.

Personally I'd rather not use either of them exclusively. People being more elaborate with their ideas for changes would be nice. For example, I think grenades need some ease of use nerfs and others need buffs for skillful use. So say a warlocks solar grenade, it would still have that area denial trick to it. Though hitting someone directly with it would result in either their death or near death. That and simply the center of the solar grenade is a lot more dangerous, while the outside is a lot less dangerous in comparison. --------Another example is the titans or hunters lightning or tripmine grenade. The cone should be more narrow and damage should fall off the further away from it you are. I'd include the void spike grenade in this if it actually became just as powerful. Anyway make the grenades do more damage if need be due to these adjustments. So yeah the point is to make things harder to be accurate with, but rewarding once you are. As grenades are now you can chuck them with little care and often succeed doing that. Feedback like that above is something I'd like to see, but it's easier to say buff or nerf so I doubt it will happen.

Nope. A buff only policy has been done by video game companies and failed just as hard. What people should be working on is balance, which includes both nerfs and buffs. What Bungie has done is an awful job of balancing, though, so their nerfs are terrible. And so are their buffs
