I had a different experience last night in Iron Banana. I only saw one Last Word user and one Conspiracy Theory. I encountered a lot of Mida, Doctrine of Passing Gas, and1000 yard stare. I tried using Monte Carlo or Hawkmoon with Irene or the New Monarchy shot gun and random heavy. Monte Carlo can't match TTK with other weapons unless you get a significant drop on them and Hawkmoon has become so unstable and erratic, especially against shadow hunters, blinking warlocks and Twilight Garrison Titans, that it's not a viable weapon in Iron Banner (it's still fine in normal crucible.) I did better with plain old Hung Jury, but honestly, it's a boring gun to use for IB. I switched to Mida for a short time while playing as a single without fireteam, because I wasn't helping my team by using lower level weapons, but I wasn't enjoying that either. I like the speed boost but it sounds like a nail gun. I have no issue at all with other people using it. You use what you like and what helps you win. Period. Then I switched to Doctrine of Passing Gas and 1000 yard stare, and that's when I started having fun. Doctrine has a hidden stagger perk I think, because once you get a bead on someone's noggin, it doesn't let go and they start missing. I don't post videos of my piss poor game play, but man, a few of my 1000 yard stare kills were awesome sauce. Ping, ping, ping... Right in the kisser. That was fun. And that, I think, is why people use so-called meta weapons - not only are they good, but they can also be fun to use. So why not use them?

Simply put, when I see any of those guns show up in the corner of my screen, I'm like oh, who would have guessed it, but those times I look up and can say " Damn, I just got owned by a Trax mallus, that dudes good" are the moments I'm more enthused to play.
