Is 1000 stare, over used or unbalaced?
I personally think that the 1000 stare is being very unbalanced in the crucible. In Iron Banner, Control, Trial of Osiris there can be a 80% that the opposite team all have a 1000 stare.
Im not saying to be nerfed, I just want more weapons that are the same damage as the 1000 stare.
Also is becoming over used
As an MMORPG player, I think we might need different weapons to use. I think that almost the 90%of the people used this sniper.

To much aim assist, I don't even line up shots anymore I just swipe and shoot and boom headshot

All sniper rifles perform as they should non are OP imho, people only look at the ones used to kill revives but there are other rifles that are far better for other pvp modes , personally I have better matches using my defiance than any other rifle on here , you just got to use what you're good with no sense in using what every one else is using if it hinders your game , just my 2 cents

It can res snipe and since people go for the shortgaze/hidden hand roll it gets about 84/100 aim assist but it isn't massively op unless you have these rolls. People still use it thinking base version will aim itself

Ive got three why not its a boss killer almost every gaurdian will use it. In yr1 one it was efrideets spear.ice breaker.ldr500. And preadyths reveng we need a couple of more hard hitters for year two. Other than that the hunters got the still piercer but thats class specific. The eirene rr4 isnt bad but not a fan myself.

Think about it... It's given as a quest reward and the reward version isn't a badly rolled one in any way. It's overused because it's so easy to obtain.

It's an easy-to-obtain high impact sniper rifle. To our knowledge no other faction has it. Thus it's one of the only revive-snipe rifles out there, and as I said it's the easiest to obtain.

the eirene from the gunsmith is just as effective..i personally disagree with the thought that the 1k yd stare is "op" its more down to how easy its obtained so everyone has it..add onto that the fact its actually pretty good as well

(LDR, her benevolence, longbow synth) It's because it's the only sniper archetype that is able to revive headshot, and also it's super high impact to begin with. On top of that it's the easiest of the snipers to get. Literally you can get it after 2 days of playing TTK. [spoiler]Let's say you just started driving, you just learned. And for some reason, you had one of the best cars ever, (bad idea if you just started out driving but anyways) you probably will stick with that car for a very very long time. Unlike someone who just started out driving, and had a shitty old car, they will eventually upgrade there car to a good one. My point is, if you give the people a good sniper to start with (1kys, they will stick with the sniper for the long run. If you gave a shitty sniper to someone, chances are they will upgrade to a new one eventually, changing up their load out. [/spoiler]

Overused. Everybody gets the same exact near/god roll sniper. Easy as shit to get.

Easily obtained from a quest and has a good scope, plus it can also be bought from the vanguard quartermaster. It's not overpowered, just overused because of how easily it's gained

Overused. It's the only sniper available in the most effective sniper archetype. Why would anyone use anything else? Let's say there was three more weapons in that archetype, you would then see a diversity and not just a complaint about one sniper rifle. That is Bungies fault. Same thing with the conspiracy theory.

Also when the shotgun nerf happened everyone wanted to convert to snipers and went for the best and easiest one to obtain (through drops or purchase).

Overused. There are many other snipers with higher aim assist to help with the "stickiness" of the scope when drag sniping. Remember that 1k stare is a quest reward so everyone can get it. They don't have to wait on RNG for a drop but I wouldn't say it's unbalanced by any means. It's easier to use than snipers with lower aim assist but that's it and as I mentioned earlier there are other snipers not as easily obtained with higher aim assist.

I agree. I think it is used because there really isn't anything else that is as good. I also use eirene and stillpiercer (hunter only). Hate to say it, but I wish rerolling weapons was still possible. The problem I have is I love shortgaze sight. It's the only one I'm consistent with. Can't get it to drop on a sniper other than the gimme version.
