Any other way to get an exotic sword?
Seriously 25 god damn kills in crucible? That's a bit over kill don't you think. It's bad enough Heavy ammo is guarded 24/7 and getting a kill with a sword isn't easy when I get killed in like 1 hit every time. I HATE the crucible with a burning passion and never want to step foot in that hell hole of a mode but I really want the Void exotic sword and this part seems impossible for me. There really needs to be a non crucible way to obtain the exotic swords because not everyone plays crucible including me. So what tips and tricks do you guys recommend? I managed to get one kill and as soon as I killed the guy I get golden gunned and all my heavy is gone.

Do mayhem lots of heavy drops that's what I did

1 ReplyI did Zone Control a couple days ago on my titan and just stole my teammates' kills with my sword hilt. It's easier than you think. Just camp around some corners and doors, wait for a teammate to body shot someone, and slap the poor guy with your bladeless sword.

You don't need heavy for the kills to count. You can kill them with the hilt of the sword and still complete the quest. It's really not that hard at all. It's worth the effort, trust me.

If your a defender titan. Just sit there with your sword equipped and anyone coming through will find they made a mistake.

Inferno. Two hits without heavy and there dead. Make sure it's inferno though!

It's easy as hell go on a control game and just hide behind a wall out of view, you can tilt the camera to see who s coming and cut them Down before they even realise your there, most of them don't pay attention to that player radar anyway

Mayhem clash when its available. Lvl it up first. Use gaurd and be a little cautious.

4 RepliesGet a friend, go in to rumble. Communicate with them. Hit them with the swords hilt with no ammo. It still counts

just camp corners with your sword with no ammo, 2 hits to kill but you don't need heavy ammo or just choose the easy, dirty way and go rumble with 2 friends, go hide in an isolated part of the map and wait for your friends to come get killed

Wanna get two easy hits for a kill with just a hilt? Jump for your first attack and swing in the air then swing again once you hit the ground. You can swing the second time much faster this way. Also make use of closing small gaps quicker by sprint sliding into a swing. Good luck guardian. It ain't as hard as you're making it. Or you can just wait until mayhem rumble...

Run Inferno anything and just use the handle of your sword. In two matches I have 21 kills with the sword. The material farming is much worse. Haven't found any of the materials I need and have like 9-10% of the 100% of kills that I need.

Use the sword without heavy ammo, after you finish this quest on this character if you do the other two on this character you skip the crucible step

Pro tip you don't need ammo to get kills with the sword, using the hilt works. Granted it takes two hits but go actually try it isn't as hard as you think. And honestly if nothing in life is a challenge what's the point

This week we have mayhem rumble, its time to do that for a few matches and you should be fine.

What I like is when there is like an inferno rumble or clash. Just run a round with your ice cream cone [spoiler]that's the sword without ammo, it kind looks like a giant ice cream cone[/spoiler] and sneak up on people.

I hope you're prepared for the grind in collected 10 elements after this! (well, after you kill the knight that only takes damage from swords).

Titan bubble ;) or run around with someone in front of you and when their in a gun fight you go "aaaaaah!" And take his kill...trust me it works.

Some crucible modes spawn heavy more often (I think), try those. Also, you can team up with someone, go in with them, and have them let you kill them. I'm admittedly pretty horrible at crucible (for now) and it really didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would. You'll go a couple matches without one, then turn around and get five kills in one match. Just keep at it. Totally worth it by the way. Those things rip.

Just go about with the hilt u can still get kills that way. Trust me if I can do it anyone can.

Grab Heavy ammo , hide around a corner close by. This was how sword users killed me when I played.

For what it's worth, once you get the first exotic sword, you can get the rest on the same character without doing the crucible part.
