I typically grind Iron Banner each month to level 5 on all three of my characters, but I had to stop playing tonight out of frustration. I played early matches in a fireteam, and the rift matches felt fair. But when I tried playing as a solo player, my experience was awful. I kept joining several already losing games, where my teams were almost always short-handed and facing coordinated fireteams of 6 in chats. What the heck is up with that? That doesn't seem fair at all, especially since rift is so team-oriented. Solo players should NOT be matched against full fireteams. They should be matched against other solo players. Also, getting spawned in halfway through a game, when enemies have full supers and heavy ammo, puts the newcomer at a HUGE disadvantage. If players have to join games halfway, why not grant them a full super? The other players would've already charged one with their playing time. This mechanic would reward guardians who are filling the shoes of players who left an already hopeless match. I would like to reach rank 5 again this week, but if I need to step out of the game to recruit full fireteams just to be competitive, I'll be playing other games instead. Make it fun, Bungie. Make it fair.
