So here's the vid. Honestly the PVE focus, more rpg focus, and The Dark Zone and going rogue slash actually worrying about keeping your loot in the dark zone sounds ten times more fun at least then destiny in general. Does that mean it's better? Many might say no but remember that video games are made for fun. The dark zone here is looking to be a lot more intense and fun than destiny PVP and that alone is enough to pull me. No weapon nerf posts in that forum. Just cool stories about how you lead a bunch of people to a trap and you and your buddies stole all their dank loot. Lol

The PVP is amazing. Me and my friend killing an area boss in the dark zone and both got some pretty decent assault rifles. We walk out the building and get ambushed by a group of 4 people launching grenades and bullets our way. Protecting our sweet loot we decide to frantically sprint back through the building trying to find the stairs to the roof all while get flash banged and shot to finally emerge onto the roof. We don't see a way down so we think we're trapped in the corner so we take cover and just wait for our death and the tea bags coming our way only to notice a rope dangling down the side of the building. We both attach on and I'm the first one going down, I look up to see my friend at the top rappelling with me only to see explosions and bullets flying from the roof tops. We hit the floor and compose ourselves but the enemy's are on their way down so we sprint like two crazed lunatics down the middle of the street and take a left into an ally. We're safe. We shoot a flare into the sky and protect our loot for the final time. Awesome.

I've not played it, but watched gameplay on twitch etc. It doesn't seem like it's going to keep people for that long. Granted it's beta so people don't really care about their character but everyone is just going rogue for shits and giggles cause why not. If that carries into the full game I feel people won't like it too much as no one particularly likes griefing. I could be completely wrong but that's how it's looking to me. Flavour of the month then move along type thing.

24 RepliesHave you even seen the PvP? I'm not leaving Destiny for Runescape-like PvP. I like matches, not random encounters. Imagine trying to get your PvP on and finding nobody in a Dark Zone. As far as competitive PvP goes, Destiny's playerbase won't be switching to The Division. They'll probably play it and check out the PvE scene. However, no big Destiny PvP players are gonna be like "Hey, this Division PvP is so much better than Destiny's PvP". It's not the same. These guys like matches.

1 ReplyI don't get why people are getting so hyped for this. It is just as empty as destiny patrols if not more so with crappy voice acting and mobs that are super bullet sponges. Destiny had fantastic mechanics to make up for its short comings. This doesn't.

Looking forward to the beta....but also realizing that The Division is reaping the benefit of simply being new and different. Also, if the Rogue bounty system isn't strong enough----and the penalties for dying as a Rogue stiff enough-----Ubisoft could wind up with a really bad griefing problem in Dark Zone play.

Was not hyped at all before really, now I'm kinda interested but I'm still pretty confident it's not gonna be as amazing as people think. It seems like people just feel like they [u]need[/u] a good game.
